Sounds good but I think black beans are a little too sweet. I think that may be why Chinese dishes using them also add a lot of salt or salty soy sauce.

I am thinking I may cook some potatoes, carrots, Brussels sprouts, onion, garlic, in vegetable stock with a little chicken meat and maybe some chillis.

Hmm. Have you ever had them just plain/prepared yourself? They are not sweet. Btw - make sure to soak them overnight and/or cook them well as they are poisonous raw/unsoaked/undercooked. Get rid of the soaking water as well - don't use it to cook them.

I haven't cooked them from dried beans. I used cans - Edgell brand I think.

Chicken biscuit breakfast thingies. If you let them sit in the microwave longer than a minute after they've cooked they're delicious.

Hey! I have some frozen chicken with sweet chilli in my freezer. I could cook two of them with some rice and some tomato salsa as a dressing for the rice. :)

I have a nice plump 8lb. roaster to cook today, Im not sure if I'll stuff it or make the stuffing on the side. I have fresh broccoli or asparagus to go with, but I may just go with a can of whole corn.
But I may split it and roast half and make a little soup with the back and wings and a leg , good to have if a major storm hits, which seems likely.

I had lasagna for lunch. It was the kind I made with the family ravioli filling a while back and froze some. Still tastes delicious! Yes, I thawed and nuked it! LOL

Yes, that's a great thing to do. I usually make a pretty good size lasagne, and after a couple meals served, what I like to do is, after it's good and cold in the fridge, cut it in rather small squares, put them on a sprayed baking sheet, cover with sprayed plastic wrap, not tight, and freeze them for a while, then take them out and put them in freezer bags , singles, or at best, two to a bag, and then they can be taken out and heated as needed. Just one makes a nice side dish to go with something else, like eggplant parm, or even some zucchini or a veg mix or salad, but if you just want a lasgne meal, you can take out three or four to make a full serving. Boy do I like lasagne! :) Yum!

No in the train you can eat, but not in the buss. You may not enter if you eat.

For dinner last night I had sweet potato, onion, carrot, potato, and some chicken. I seasoned it nuked it in the microwave oven and then added a dollop of sour cream stirred it through which broke up the pieces of sweet potato and let it cool a little - it was very tasty and quite filling. Then after a couple of hours I went to sleep and woke a few minutes ago. Nice sleep, tummy is still fairly full but I was thirsty so I had something to drink.

:)

I have had nothing but 5 cups of coffee, 2 cups of camomile tea for well over 24 hours. That and lots of water. I'm not intentionally fasting - I am just not hungry at all.
