I just finished a pasta salad.

Pasta + partly homegrown lettuce (the romaine lettuce planted in my terrarium a few days ago has already started to grow :) - I cut a little more than the new growth ), cooked garlic and white onion, homemade sauce of salt, 'Italian' herbs and oil, and salt.

Might have some tuna salad. I didn't get to the kitchen in time to start a slow cooker meal for tonight, so I guess that's for tomorrow. The youngsters have taken control of the area again right when I was going to go out and get it ready.

I am having the same meal as my last post, minus the Leek and + romaine lettuce and also with a different set of spices giving it a different overall taste. :)

Blueberry oatmeal

I've considered growing a blueberry plant. I like them, but they are always so expensive for the amount you get.

We have blueberry farms nearby but I'm not sure I want to spend a day picking blueberries! LOL I don't even remember which month they're in season! I buy them in bulk at the grocery store and freeze them in baggies. It works great for when I make pancakes.

I am having the same meal as I had the last 2 meals posted, with yet another different set of spices, giving it a whole new taste. This time the only green veggie (outside of dried herbs) was celery.

That's a record for me. I don't think in my whole life have I eaten so much brown rice with lentils in a short period and enjoyed it.

Soaking legumes overnight prior to cooking or consuming raw mostly eliminates that issue. They are meant to be pre-soaked, as more nutrients become available when they are. I just finished the meal, so I can't say - but it didn't the last 2 times so I don't expect it to.

Okay. My experience is that cooked legumes with onions and some tomato (paste/sauce/diced or whatever) can cause wind if eaten for several meals one after the other.
