So nobody here can name a place in the New Testament where Jonah is quoted word-for-word?

Yea, apparently Jonathan Cahn is disrespecting God’s Word too.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

By the way, I once had a vegan (who’s also a Christian) tell me that even though the New Testament says that Jesus celebrated Passover, it doesn’t actually say that Jesus ate lamb at the Passover. However, eating lamb is part of the Passover celebration. It’s only logical to assume that Jesus...

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

To get back to the original question, does Jonah have to be quoted word for word with the phrase “thus saith the Lord” in front of it, in order for the New Testament to provide verification for it?

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

You’re confusing that which is not stated with a leap in logic. Just because it doesn’t specifically say “Jesus celebrated Hanukkah” does not make it illogical or speculative to conclude that Jesus’ family and relatives were celebrating the holiday, including Jesus himself.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

Some people have said to me that Jesus never went in, because it says he was out on Solomon’s porch. Yea, like someone going to an 8-day feast is never going to set foot on the porch.

The Bible says that the Israelites dwelt in the tents of Ham. Ham was a son of Noah. How could anyone think Noah was a fictional character?

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

I still don’t see any examples of Jesus quoting the book of Jonah word-for-word verbatim. And yet we have clear New Testament evidence that Jesus accepted Jonah as real history, and that he was a real prophet.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

My guess is that John 10:22 tells us that Jesus also accepted Maccabees as being real too, as well as Hebrews 11:35.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

Isn’t that interesting? People will use Harry Potter for examples, but refuse to use any examples from the Apocryphal books. Such hypocrisy. Yea, Jesus accepted Jonah as real history and a real prophet. It’s the furthest thing from fictional novels. The apocryphal books are real history too.

Waffles are better. I especially love using the waffle maker that they have at some hotels.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

If Jesus celebrated it, which John 10 says that he did, then we should place at least some emphasis on learning about it.

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

Do you place a priority in reading the books which Jesus celebrated the holidays of? “Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

The word “Jonah” is both the name of a person and the name of a book. Why are you trying to create confusion by bringing up irrelevant technicalities instead of actually answering the question? Is Jonah quoted word-for-word with the phrase “thus saith the Lord” or “as scripture says” or “as it...

Is the book of Jonah ever quoted in the New Testament?

Yes, this is a clear reference to Jonah. Jesus clearly accepted it as scripture. But did Jesus actually quote the book of Jonah word-for-word with one of those phrases in front of it?
