All you’re showing is slight differences in what Enoch said compared to the way Jude quoted it, which happens often in the New Testament.
But you’re not showing where the Old Testament provides this quote from Enoch. You’re not showing how Jude knew that Enoch said this.
Where did Enoch say...
That’s actually true of a LOT of the quotes that New Testament authors give of Old Testament passages. But it’s still obvious who they’re quoting. Illogical argument.
The book of Mormon was made up by Joseph Smith in the 1800’s, just like the Book of Boba Fett was made up by George Lucas in the 1900’s (or maybe Disney made it up, not sure. Dave Filoni?).
But the Book of Enoch WAS in the hands of the early church, and even found among the Dead Sea Scrolls and...
I think he’s talking about the Noah Fragment. It’s like, chapter 107 or something like that? It said that Noah was born an albino. It was apparently some Fragment that wasn’t in the original.
Anyway, it seems to suggest that Enoch was alive (on Earth) the same time as Noah, which...
Why can’t you understand that the REASON I’m interested in the book of Enoch (as many others are interested) is because Jude quotes from it?
Could the copy in the possession of Jude maybe have worded this passage differently? Or maybe his copy omitted it entirely? Or maybe there’s a perfectly...
Exactly. What’s the “big contradiction”.
I can show some very clear, very obvious, irreconcilable contradictions in the book of Jasher, showing that Jasher is a fraud.
But these “problems” with the book of Enoch are really not too difficult. I mean, NOWHERE in Genesis does it say that Noah’s...
Also…
Moses wrote Genesis.
WHERE DID HE GET HIS INFORMATION?
The way that Moses writes Genesis makes it sound like his audience is already familiar with the story of Enoch. He mentions Enoch and the angels marrying women in a really brief way, as if he doesn’t feel the need to expound to...
Are you seriously considering your logic here?
Oh, ok. So the Bible says that Noah Built the ark all by himself with no outside help.
Ok. Sooooooo….. his sons didn’t help???
There’s no possibility of him hiring laborers to chop down trees?
Like, really? Is this really the logical path you...
I don’t know, man.
I have an app on my phone that says 300 cubits. And then I have a physical book titled “The Books of the Ethiopian Bible” and it says 3,000 ells. So I’m not sure where you’re getting your 3,000 cubits translation.
I wonder if it’s ridiculous for a giant to be 300 cubits. The...
If only you could quote the verses that specifically say “with no outside help.”
I honestly don’t see a big contradiction here. If this is really the best evidence against the book of Enoch, then that’s not really substantial.
This could be a possible explanation:
Taken from this website:

Myth: The giants were hundreds, if not thousands of feet tall
How tall were the pre-flood giants, really?
Actually, the Book of Enoch originally probably did not say how tall the giants were...
You said the Greek one says 3,000 cubits, and the Ethiopian one says 300 ells. It’s actually the inverse.
The Greek one says 300 cubits, and the Ethiopian one says 3,000 ells.
I wonder what other mistakes you have made.
Whatever the case, I’ve heard that there is a Greek version of Enoch...
How did I know that you were going to suggest that Noah enslaved the angels? Good grief. This is just like the illogical nonsense that atheists present.
Do you have any legitimate reason to believe that it is unbiblical for angels to help humans do things?
“Some have even entertained angels...
I’m pretty sure my printed copy at home says 3,000 ells. It’s the Ethiopian one. I’ll have to wait till I get home to check.
Then I also have this app on my phone of the book of Enoch. It says 300 cubits. That’s about 450 feet, going by an 18 inch cubit.
I think you may have switched those.
Who built Solomon's temple?
Did Solomon himself build it? Or did his forced laborers build it?
One place in 1 Kings says Solomon built it. But in another place it says his forced laborers built it.
"The temple that King Solomon built for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty...
My copy says 3,000 ells, which is even longer than a cubit.
Whatever the case, the Ethiopian version has this ridiculous number for the height of the giants. But there is also a Greek version of Enoch found which does not contain this measurement. It says nothing about 3,000 cubits, or ells, or...
Again you’re playing dumb.
The point still stands. The KJV is not mentioning mythical unicorns. Nor is it mentioning mythical satyrs. Definitions change over time.
The most likely conclusion for the mention of sirens in Enoch and the LXX is that it’s merely talking about a real creature, like...
