Alithis, were you ever exposed to God's Word while sitting in a building that had a church service?

Edited to state that I ask because you seem to imply that church is worthless.

Well its rather a diversion to the topic.. but the man made institutions you refer to correctly as church..does not make them the called out ones assembeld unto God. The body of christ is not place we go to but the living assembly of all those in whom the holy spirit dwells. And since that other thing is man made ,for the most part it does not teach people how to become likd jesus and do what he did. For the most part (and let me use the evangelical charasmatics as examples as well) it teaches people to sit in a seat 2 hours on a sunday, recite songs they dont mean, seek goosebumps and goldust, think they cant be free from sin therefore continue in sin(even though that what jesus came to free us from.)and give some money to cover building exoenses...and that is the scope of thier faith. ! So..in that respect. They are utterly worthess because they teach traditions of men instead of what thr lord Jesus said.

but the body of Jesus who love him ..go and DO what he tells them to do.

That doesn't look like an answer to the question. Lots of words, lots of tangents, but aside from a pretty universal bash at churches doesn't really say anything related to the question.

Cassia on post #1, placed a passage from Acts 1:6-7 where she has a paragraph that is not in the Bible but what she believes.
"It is in fact...and a new age."

Jesus gave them the Sign of Jonas equal to 3 days and 3 nights equal to 72 hours. A middle of the week death through a rest day.

Not the 39 hours from a Friday afternoon through a Sunday morning resurrection. Enough discussed on 3 other threads.

It would be good to open a thread on this subject, as there is a lot more to be said that just this short comment. The is a big subject that needs a thread of its own.

Why did you leave out the first 10 verses.
This is the Omer count that you are referencing.
The count of 7 weeks is also in the book of enoch.

This should help with those that know the fruit of the spirit . And sowing the seed of the fruit.
3 rd day, 4 th day.
A day being a week.

The first 10 verses of what?

Because there are numerous threads from Messianic to Latter Day expounding the doctrine of Saturday Sabbath keeping I thought it would be good to present scripture in a thread of how God changed the day of worship to Sunday

Scriptural reasoning:

Dan 2:20-22
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; For wisdom and might are his.
21 And it is He that changeth times and seasons; He deposeth kings, and setteth up kings; He giveth wisdom to the wise, And knowledge to them that know understanding.
22 It is he that revealeth the deep and secret things; He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Mark 1:15
and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.

Luke 21:8
And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am [he], and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not [therefore] after them.

Acts 1:6-7
They therefore, being come together, asked him saying, Lord, is it at this time that thou restorest the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father has placed in his own authority;

It is in fact God who changed the day of worship to Sunday, It's the first day of the week that the Lord resurrected from the dead and signifies a new beginning and a new age

Leviticus 23:10-11
10 Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When ye come into the land that I give unto you, and ye reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest.
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah, to be accepted for you; on the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
15 And ye shall count from the morning after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave-offering, seven weeks; they shall be complete;

Christ is the firstfruit of the resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:20
(But now Christ is raised from among [the] dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.
23 But each in his own rank: [the] first-fruits, Christ; then those that are the Christ's at his coming.

Therefore this is the day that Jehovah has made; Let us exult and rejoice in it, because today God has begotten Him

Acts 13:33
That God has fully fulfilled this promise to us their children in raising up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, a"You are My Son; this day have I begotten You.

So we give Him first place in everything, even over creation because He has brought in the new creation.

Colossians 1:18
18 And He is the Head of the bBody, the church; He is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have the first place in all things;

And why we call it the Lord's day rather than the Sabbath

Revelation 1:10
I was in spirit on the Lord's Day and heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,

Because He is our rest

Matthew 11:28-29
Come to Me all who toil and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

The OP says:

Sunday is God's day of Worship.

Some people say that where you put your money, that is where your heart is.

Some other say that where you spend your time, that is where your heart is.

So let's see where God's heart is.

Some statistics:

Sabbath............137 times (126 verses)
Seventh day.............................66 verses
Last day of the week..............None
Sunday......................................None
1st day of week........................8 verses

Visionary suggested opening another thread on another topic to another poster. No one is disputing that more than 1/7 of time should be devoted to God. But if keeping the sabbath daily is really your thing you would never leave your tent. I don't go to church on Saturday or Sunday. I'm just presenting what I see in scripture, because I look. Not depend on the world's thinking.

But to worship, does not mean to be inside the tent the whole day praying and singing. To worship means to pay homage, to pay respect to somebody. To worship God means to respect Him always. He is happy when we do the things that He told us to do. The singing is to praise Him and for us to be happy. He wants us to do what He told us and to do and to do it all of the time.
We should act as His faithful believers on our homes with our parents, husbands, wives, children, at work, on our business transactions, on the freeway, at the coffee shop, everywhere.
Somebody said even when we are sleeping.
This is not the world's thinking, it comes from the word of God.
You could start another thread regarding: What Is True Worship?
The OT has it 172 times (H7812) defined as "to bow down." The NT has it 60 times (G4352) defined as "to kiss the hand in token of reverence."

The first 10 verses of what?
Pay close attention to the Omer.
From Leviticus. 23
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,אוַיְדַבֵּר יְהֹוָה אֶל משֶׁה לֵּאמֹר:
2Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: The Lord's appointed [holy days] that you shall designate as holy occasions. These are My appointed [holy days]:בדַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם מוֹעֲדֵי יְהֹוָה אֲשֶׁר תִּקְרְאוּ אֹתָם מִקְרָאֵי קֹדֶשׁ אֵלֶּה הֵם מוֹעֲדָי:
3[For] six days, work may be performed, but on the seventh day, it is a complete rest day, a holy occasion; you shall not perform any work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.

And having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a festival, a New Moon, or a Sabbath.

These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.…

22Then she called to her husband and said, "Please send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and return." 23He said, "Why will you go to him today? It is neither new moon nor sabbath." And she said, "It will be well."24Then she saddled a donkey and said to her servant, "Drive and go forward; do not slow down the pace for me unless I tell you."…

26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless. 27Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

15And you shall count for yourselves, from the morrow of the rest day from the day you bring the omer as a wave offering seven weeks; they shall be complete.

(Hebrew: ויקרא‎‎) is a Hebrew word, which is the first word of the third book of the Torah of the Jewish Bible (Tanakh). It means "And He [God] called".
