So after the first day of the week plus seven weeks brings it to what? Pentecost?

Here is a gift.

1. And after that Enoch both †gave† and began to recount from the books. And Enoch said:

'Concerning the children of righteousness and concerning the elect of the world,
And concerning the plant of uprightness, I will speak these things,
Yea, I Enoch will declare (them) unto you, my sons:

According to that which appeared to me in the heavenly vision,
And which I have known through the word of the holy angels,
And have learnt from the heavenly tablets.'

3. And Enoch began to recount from the books and said:
'I was born the seventh in the first week,
While judgement and righteousness still endured.

4. And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness,
And deceit shall have sprung up;
And in it there shall be the first end.

And in it a man shall be saved;
And after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up,
And a law shall be made for the sinners.

5. And after that in the third week at its close
A man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgement,
And his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.

6. And after that in the fourth week, at its close,
Visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen,
And a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.

7. And after that in the fifth week, at its close,
The house of glory and dominion shall be built for ever. p. 133

8. And after that in the sixth week all who live in it shall be blinded,
And the hearts of all of them shall godlessly forsake wisdom.

And in it a man shall ascend;
And at its close the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire,
And the whole race of the chosen root shall be dispersed.

9. And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise,
And many shall be its deeds,
And all its deeds shall be apostate.

10. And at its close shall be elected
The elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness,
To receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.

[11. For who is there of all the children of men that is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being troubled? And who can think His thoughts? and who is there that can behold all the works of heaven? 12. And how should there be one who could behold the heaven, and who is there that could understand the things of heaven and see a soul or a spirit and could tell thereof, or ascend and see all their ends and think them or do like them? 13. And who is there of all men that could know what is the breadth and the length of the earth, and to whom has been shown the measure of all of them? 14. Or is there any one who could discern the length of the heaven and how great is its height, and upon what it is founded, and how great is the number of the stars, and where all the luminaries rest?]

It would be really useful if you mentioned the book and chapter you quoted there.

So what are we supposed to take away from posting what looks like the whole of the Book of Enoch, chapter 93?

Who can count the days, weeks, ect.

An Omer is a 1 tenth of an ephah.

5Then the angel who was speaking with me went out and said to me, "Lift up now your eyes and see what this is going forth." 6I said, "What is it?" And he said, "This is the ephah going forth." Again he said, "This is their appearance in all the land 7(and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah."…

Ezekiel 46:11

"At the festivals and the appointed feasts the grain offering shall be an ephah with a bull and an ephah with a ram, and with the lambs as much as one is able to give, and a hin of oil with an ephah.

Does anyone see the time measurements?

Why is worship done on Sunday?

Because Jesus was resurrected on that day

Worship is to pay respect to God and should be done all of the time, not only on one day.

DID JESUS RESURRECT HIMSELF ON SUNDAY?

To know the TRUTH (Jesus himself) you should check 3 other threads:

Christian Heaven
"The Arguments for Sunday."

Theology online
"The Hoax of the Three Days and Three Nights."

Christian Forum
"Three Days and Three Nights."

May God illuminate us with His WISDOM.

You don't know God's appointed times...
Both First Fruits and Pentecost have always and will always be held the day after Sabbath. Yeshua fulfilling the spring feasts doesn't affect the keeping of the Sabbath. IN fact, two times a year [First Fruits and Pentecost] Sunday is the Sabbath, but that it is. You can look up all seven of God's Sabbaths in Lev 23. You probably didn't even know that First Fruits is of the Resurrection. Yeshua, being THE First Fruits of the Resurrection, would Resurrect on the Appointed Time of First Fruits.

You haven't answered any questions which makes suspect of anything that you say.

I'll answer my question for you. Yes the first day of the week plus 7 weeks makes Pentecost. The birth of the church. Think of Sunday as a celebration of the church along with the head of that church. That's what I get from those verses.

Appointed Times (Leviticus 23)

Specially all the Jewish festivals as "appointed by God" and the instructions on how to celebrate them written in His book.

I believe they are 7 (but there is one in the middle of another one=8) and they represent Jesus who was rejected by the Israeli nation.

1. The Passover
2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread
3. First Fruits (Waving of the sheaf)
4. The 7 weeks + 1 day . Giving of the Law to the jews and Pentecost (50 days) to the followers of Jesus. Counting of the Omer.
5. Trumpets
6. Day of Atonement
7. Feast of Tabernacles
8. The Great Day

There are 2 types of sabbaths:
a. The last day of the week, the day of rest.
b. The High Sabbath, special day of rest. Many regulations have been imposed but that are not in the book.

I do not want to hijack this thread. A Jewish sister mentioned the appointed times so I believe should be discussed on another thread.

Above, you have a list and the book of Leviticus explains when to conduct them.

Some of our Jewish friends should enlighten us regarding these festivities that, I feel, we're important to God and He imposed them to our brothers.
Do we have to follow them?

If we are worshiping "in spirit and in truth", and worshiping as an ongoing activity day-by-day, what does it matter whether we meet with other Christians on Sundays or Tuesdays or the 5th of every month?

Jesus was not resurrected on the Feast of Firstfruits that followed the First Day of Unleavened Bread, a High Sabbath.

Month of Abib (Changed to Nisa by the jews, not by God)

Day 14. Passover Day
Day 15. A High Sabbath Day, the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread
Day 16.

Nisan

Day 16. The day you wave the sheaf, the Firstfruits of Barley Harvest. People believe Jesus was the Firstfruit and that He was resurrected this day. (Far from it)
Day 17. The week Jesus died it was a regular week day. The 6th day of the week.
Day 18. The 7th day, the rest day, Jesus resurrected at exactly 3:00 PM. Was the High Priest waving the sheaf? The Bible is mums the word.
Day 19. The first day of the week, when the ladies come early to the tomb.

If Jesus was dead on a Friday (Passover) and the next day was a High Sabbath and also a regular sabbath, when did the ladies had time to prepare the spices? They rested on the Sabbath as they were mandated by the scriptures. Then they came early on the 1st day of the week and Jesus was gone from the tomb.

Presently people believe on the 39 hours.
If you believe Jesus, then you believe in the 72 hours.

Check it out.

Peace be with you.

That doesn't look like an answer to the question. Lots of words, lots of tangents, but aside from a pretty universal bash at churches doesn't really say anything related to the question.

Just because It is not the answer you want.does not mean it is not an answer.

I was asked if im implying the church is worthless.. And the man made institution that some call church..a gathering of peopl to building or place ..being something "other" then ecclessia ..is, for the most part ,worthless in the respect it does not train people to become like Jesus ,nor do the things he did.it trains them to sit in a seat once a week, recite vain repitions, and think they cant be free of sin , nor desire to be.

since the purpose of becoming a deciple is to become like our master... And the man made institutions ,for the most part,do not teach how to do that.then what they do is worthless.for what they build on top of the foundation laid is doubt, unbelief in what the lord has accomplished.it is hey stubble and straw and will be consumed When tested by fire.

Where is that shock emoji when you need one. But then I took a look at your day count and knew where the skew was.
