I have the gift of the Holy ghost. It was given to me by God.
Why do you think God can't clean a person?
God gives all believers the gift of the Holy Spirit. But the baptism of the Spirit ended with the Apostles who distributed the gift.

God hasn't stoped baptising in the holy spirit.
He still doing it.

Acts 11:9-17
The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again.
Right then three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s house.
He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.
He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.
Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”

Who are you to stand in his way?

Show scripture proof. You have offered only your opinion so far. Have you raised any dead lately? Or straightened any twisted limbs? How about restoring amputated limbs? This is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Do the works and I'll believe you.

It's amazing that you do not believe God can give his own spirit to whom he chooses. You believe only a man can give Gods sprit.
I recieved the holy spirit because I believed Mathew account of the gospel of Christ.
You claim its impossible.

Mathew 10:41

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

I recieved the gift of the Holy ghost.
You got wet.

No one who really received the gift of the Holy Ghost would follow that up by 1) bragging about it and, simultaneously, 2) ridiculing Christ's teachings. No. Nor can we find anyone in the Bible who fits that pattern.

You do not know what the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is. If you believe in Christ, you have the gift of the Holy Spirit. But only the Apostles had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Along with those they laid hands on. It verified their office. But it also meant raising the dead, healing twisted limbs, and more that you cannot do. The gentile outpouring was the only exception to this.

Neither of those claims is correct

1. God can do just about anything, so for you to say that someone here doesn't believe it is what's truly amazing. But because God can do anything, it doesn't mean that he DOES do just about anything the mind of man can dream up!

2. No one has said the first thing about a mere man imparting "God's spirit."

The word baptise means to be washed.

John 13:8
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

If Christ does not baptised you, then you can have no part with him.

No one dreamed it up. It's biblical.
Oh how you reject the truth.

And yet you denounce the use of water in baptism and claim that your alleged waterLESS "baptism" is the only real baptism!

You've now passed from mistaken to incoherent.

I've told you I do wash with water. I prefer to shower and I do it about 6 days a week. Normally when I get off my first job.

As for the baptism of the holy ghost. I was washed clean Aug 31 1998 by God.
Best day of my life.

I think I'm going to go and wash dishes now. I may baptised them by submerging them in water before I put them in the dishwasher. It seems to help when washing them.

Sooooo, you're suggesting that because water touches you at certain moments during the day which are, however, totally unrelated to anything religious...that this fulfills the Biblical requirement for water in the sacrament of baptism which you've been ridiculing?

Incidentally, what Christian church or denomination are you a member of, and what does it say about your theory concerning you being baptized by Jesus when you met up with him in person?

Or is it that you boycott them all because none of them believes in your fantasy about being baptized in your mind but never having actually received the sacrament of Baptism and become a member of Christ's church?

The baptism you preach is a tradition of men.
I simply was not brought up in your traditions.
I sought God and found God.
Being given the holy spirit never had anything to do with water. It was always about seeking God with the whole heart.

Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

As I recall from the Bible, Christ didn't baptize anyone himself although he instructed others to do it in his name. And every example of a Christian baptism given in the New Testament involves a missionary of some sort doing the baptism of converts. All of this you reject out of hand even though it's clearcut in the Bible.

Are you sudjesting the gentiles who are washed clean by God could not be washed clean if they didn't personally meet Jesus?
