It is very important to baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Do you know of any groups who hold to the trinitarian doctrine and baptize in Jesus name?
That's a good question. I assume that you mean to ask if there are any groups/churches that hold to the Trinitarian doctrine and yet baptize in the name of Jesus only. I cannot think of any offhand.

I wish I did. I think some independent churches might use the Papal method or Jesus and the Apostle's method if you request it. It's been decades since I learned of this. But do not even think of the oneness groups as a suitable alternative. They preach another Jesus that you do not want part of.

Yes, the oneness preach that false doctrine. I stay away from them but really have no group to fellowship with. God willing I plan to begin teaching by radio. Perhaps there are sheep who will hear his voice and be properly baptized. So many clergy are using them for money.

Wouldn't someone who affirms the following be in that group also?

"Jesus is YHWH (the trinity) in the flesh."

But it's the name of Jesus that causes the demons to flee. The power is in the name.

What does that have to do with the claim that Jesus IS HIMSELF the Triune God that Christians affirm?

“And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.” Acts 4:18 (KJV 1900) Why do you suppose this is? Or why the pope would try to move people away from this? Do you think the Reformers were right about him being the Antichrist?

Not changing the subject like that, but if someone says that he believes Jesus himself was the Trinity in the flesh, it seems necessarily to be a denial of the Trinitarian nature of God.

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” Colossians 2:9 (KJV 1900)
I have some studies that prove the name Jesus Christ is the triune YHWH. Also, Granville Sharp's rule shows this in a few passages.

“Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.” Jude 5 (ESV)

Yes, he was God. That isn't the issue.

I'd suggest not becoming a disciple of Granville Sharp in preference to 2000 years of Christian history and thought.

I hope you know that for every verse you imagine debunks the idea of the Trinity, there are probably a dozen that affirm it.

Here's just one of them:
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." (John 14:26)

Three distinct persona, not one. Andthere we see Jesus himself clearly speaking of the other two as not being himself.

Did you know the bible Jesus and the disciples used, also the first-century church, called the LXX, translated YHWH as Lord? Because of this, believers knew the Lord Jesus is YHWH.

Also, Jesus Christ is the trinity who spoke in the second person of the Son. That's why we also refer to him as the Word of God.

You can prove Granville Sharp right with several moves in scripture.

Yes, Jehovah God was referred to as Lord in the OT, and Jesus was addressed as Lord according to some NT verses, but this doesn't mean that there was no Holy Spirit who was God or the Father who was God. That would be impossible to argue, using the Bible, but the Triune nature of our God wasn't understood at that time. During the earlier days of his public ministry Jesus wasn't recognized as the Messiah, but his followers finally caught on to that and also to the truth that he was God.

Did you know that the OT teaches the Trinity doctrine explicitly?

But Jesus and the Apostles showed us how to Baptise, not the Pope. Who do you follow in this matter? I prefer to follow Jesus in this matter and have.
Amen!

I was baptised by Christ. It happened in my house while I was praying. Best day of my life.

That wasn't a baptism. Not if we judge by what the Bible teaches about baptism.

At the same time, it is entirely possible that you and other people in the same situation have been called to Faith. The response is to follow up by being baptized.

The sequence is quite evident if we consult Scripture, and included there are Christ's very own instructions to the men he chose to launch his church.

Matthew 28:19-20
Mark 16:16
John 1:33
Acts 2:38
Acts 2:41
Acts 8:12

Sure it was. Jesus baptised me in the holy ghost. It was Aug 31,1998.It was on a Monday close to noon.
It happened while I was asking for forgivness and asking to be saved. I had never been happier in all my life.
I believed and was baptised. I guess that was all the sequence Jesus needed.

People believe what they will, and they're usually entirely sincere about it. But not only would your experience, if viewed as Christian baptism, defy numerous references to and descriptions of Christian baptism, but you're telling us that you were the recipient of something that is never, ever, mentioned in Scripture. That's despite the many references to Baptism there...and it also stands in contrast to the experience of the billions of other Christians in history who were baptized in the Scriptural fashion.

It happened while I was asking for forgivness and asking to be saved. I had never been happier in all my life.

How did he baptize you?

You believed because you were given faith. But baptism is with water and done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

That is Incorrect.
I was baptised in the holy ghost by Jesus.
He can actually do that you know.

He didn't need someone else to wash me clean He did it himself.
