I went for my walk before it got too hot. It was still pretty hot so I kept my pace down a bit. That wasn't a particularly conscious effort, I was just walking at a pace that felt about right and it was about 30-40 seconds per mile slower than I've been doing recently. I was OK with that, my shirt was still soaked with sweat by the time I got home.

Now I'm sitting indoors with the air conditioner running. I'm contemplating what I'll need to do my plumbing job but if my elderly valves cause me problems I'll need to get the local water board to shut off the water at street level so I'll plan that work for next week. They don't charge for turning the water on and off unless it's out of hours, I'd just rather not find my job takes longer than expected only to find the valve won't turn back on just as the engineers go home.

Morning: Up early...burnt garbage and personalized documents I wanted to get rid of. Easier than shredding.

A good deal of the rest of the morning...digging a shallow trench for a new garden bed. As it was formerly composed of driveway gravel (now mixed with soil), it was a long tedious task of digging, filtering out gravel, more digging and more filtering. Then planting. Hopefully I got enough of the stones/gravel out so plants can grow there now. Time will tell.

Afternoon poker and some light composition at the keyboard.

Reading up on an electronics project I have been wanting to put together for a long time, but was dismayed at the mis and dis-information surrounding it, so left it for years. Found a website that puts it all together so I'm seriously thinking of having a go for real.

My fitness tracker said I had a good night's sleep last night but curiously I woke not feeling particularly refreshed. Apparently I had plenty of deep sleep but not enough REM sleep. I'm not sure how it tells them apart.

Debating going for a run before it gets hot, or maybe leaving the run until tomorrow or Sunday and going for a walk instead.

Tonight I'm meeting a group of friends at my favorite brewpub. I'm really looking forward to that, it's a while since we all got together like this.

I'll give you some hints

It involves one man's life work
He obtained numerous patents
It was shown to be a fraud in a US court
Numerous people, scattered world wide, claim that this former claim is
false, and that it works.
If true, and implemented, it would revolutionize our world
It is often misunderstood, especially by lay people
The name (or the claim) of the invention is often mis-applied by enthusiasts
who borrow the name of the inventor or the invention but misapply the
principles.
It claims to be overunity
It uses a very common substance
It involves applied electricity, but not in what would think as a conventional sense in the context it is used (hence why it not understood)
If you knew the name of the inventor or the invention itself, chances are go
od that a search would reveal it to be fraud, as it is meant to be perceived by
the masses.

Off the top of my head I'd say something from Nikola Tesla, but would struggle with specifics.

We live in interesting times. I've seen (on numerous home videos) Tesla's cold electricity replicated.

The invention (including circuit) I refer to is collectively called a water fuel cell, by Stan Meyer. It was basically his life's work. Most people do not understand it, which is why I suspect it was "proven" in a US court to be nothing more than electrolysis.

I've taken a fair amount of time to try to understand what his invention does, and I am a mere novice in Electronics. What I can say for certain, though...is that what the invention purports to do is not standard electrolysis (ie: running current through water, usually with electrolytes added). This is where things get messy. Any dumb dumb can add an electrolyte to water then hook up an anode and cathode connection to a battery and produce hydrogen. It's hugely inefficient. What's more, this type of electrolysis is old science...nothing new...and people falsely attribute it to Meyer.

Meyer's invention purports to split water using primarily voltage, using only a little current and passing none of that current through the water. Basically the opposite of electrolysis, instead using distilled water with 0 electrolytes and producing hydrogen HHO gas, with no heating of the cell (cell heating is a waste product of standard electrolysis). In electricity Power = Volts * Amps, so if you limit either, you limit overall power usage. Meyer's invention purports to use almost exclusively Voltage, drawing only a very small amount of current in a resonating circuit where impedance pulls off the electrons of the water molecule, producing cheap HHO gas - without the high cost and inefficiency of running current through the cell.

So the thing you're working on is intended to split water into hydrogen and oxygen? Are you planning on burning the hydrogen to generate energy?

In a nutshell, it's a patented process to split the water molecule into HHO gas, capture the electrons freed during the process of that splitting, providing both electricity and combustible gas, utilizing a method of low net energy input that does not force current through the water itself (standard electrolysis), instead using resonance in a type of RLC circuit. The combined output energy (freed electrons + HHO gas) is supposed to be way overunity (ie: greater than input). I've seen numerous replications of the technology, but have not done it myself, yet.

When (if) I get a basic working version going, then yes, the HHO will be used as a fuel application.

I used some of the squash from our garden to make bread but it came out a little gooey since it wasn't zucchini and cooks differently. Tastes great though.

A hugely tedious morning trying and failing to fix some issues with the new church computer. Now the church is locked so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hello afternoon all! How's it going so far with your day? This morning, I've just had a long cold shower and a hair wash on this particularly hot and muddy day today. The afternoon, just enjoying a new Chinese TV show called "Intern Female Constable" on Youtube premium before hitting the pillow tonight.
