What kind of fabric is it?
I have a long-sleeved UV shirt I'm wearing today and it's thin and useful when I have to do yard work for extended periods of times. I don't think it would wick away a lot of sweat though.
I'm not sure what the new one is made of, my wife found it and thought it would be useful for me. I tried it, and after 90 minutes of hard walking in the sun it was just as soaked with sweat as my regular shirts. It is much lighter weight so it wasn't as heavy, but still soaked.
Years ago I had long pants with detachable legs that were quick-drying. I used them for hiking and cycling and they dried incredibly fast - if I got caught in a rainstorm I could go from soaking wet to totally dry within a few minutes once the sun came out. I think they were made of polyamide but once I wore them out I couldn't find anything quite like them. I don't know how well a shirt made of that material would work - the pants rustled a lot as I walked in them so they might be a bit rough.
