[Eph 2:3-5 NASB] 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Get real.
Does someone “living in the lusts of the flesh” and “children of wrath” and “dead in transgressions” describe a BELIEVER or UNBELIEVER?
It describes an “unbeliever”. So it was a dead “unbeliever” that God “made alive” (transforming him into a believer).
Paul was speaking about how there were Jews who did sins like the Gentiles. The Gentiles were dead in their SINS AND in the UN circumcision of their flesh.
Colossians 2:13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
That is about the Gentiles NOT doing the purification works and atoning for their sins.
