Today I had the left overs from yesterday's dinner for breakfast and lunch. The only addition was for breakfast I had it cold on toast and it was very nice :) Lunch was warmed and tasted very good too.

Sesame seed milk (whole, not strained) with chocolate powder, a hint of mint spice, cinnamon powder and honey.

It's delicious. :)

Beats cow's milk for calcium and a number of other minerals and vitamins.

I'm having my scrambled chickpea recipe again. http://www.christianityhaven.com/showthread.php?1216-Recipe-thread!!&p=105585#post105585

This time I included the garlic with the onions and mushrooms in the caramelized mix (instead of blending with chickpeas and adding after), skipped the soy sauce, just added salt instead and reduced the oil. I had this with toast and some lettuce.

I couldn't find nutrition for sprouted chickpeas on the normal websites I go to - but it should be noted that the nutrition for chickpeas in terms of vitamin and mineral content is much higher when sprouted (increases vitamins and enzymes) and not subject to boiling as a cooking method (decreases minerals).

I'm having my chickpea scramble again, with some toast and some homemade hash browns.

Minus the soy sauce (just used salt) and a little less oil. I decided to add some toasted sesame seeds (was a good idea) and just a tiny spoonful of sesame oil (from toasted seeds) in addition to the Rice Bran oil (Toasted Sesame seed oil is very strong tasting, so only a little is necessary!). The latter was a good idea as well.

I had a few toasted sandwiches using veggie patties. The veggie patties were made of pre-soaked sunflower seeds, rolled oats, a little oil and various spices, plus some water to mix, and then gently heated. They were very tasty however I think I will prepare them differently in future as they were somewhat runny after I blended them and difficult to flip. Lettuce, sliced mushroom and unsweetened tomato sauce also made it between the slices of toast.

I am devouring my 2nd homemade veggie burger, using a few different main ingredients, a different spice mixture and different method this time. Not so wet this time, and with a little potato starch I saved last time I made hash browns - they are holding together very well. Rolled em into balls then flattened them out just like would be done making meat hamburgers.

With a bit of ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce and just a smidgen of toasted sesame seed oil - they could almost pass for meat burgers the taste was so similar. Better than any supermarket "veggie burger" I've ever had. I made 8 in less than an hour.

One of the things I have an excess of but hardly use is my chia seeds.

I decided to try a combo I read online. I'm sure the amounts were off as I didn't pay attention to the amounts in the recipe, but it was still very tasty - strawberries, water and honey (blended well), then adding in a generous serving of chia seeds. Put in fridge, wait 4 hours, out comes this pudding like strawberry yum. And it was.

I finished off my Butter Chicken today for lunch. Now I am wondering if roasted sweet potato, carrot, onion, and maybe some potatoes would be nice. I could add some bacon ... or not. I am not sure what to cook really. I might wait and see what seems best later on when I am hungry.

Atm, homemade beer.

Some things I ate today:

My chickpea scramble (with added sesame oil) and pasta with some tomato sauce added as well...

Toast with sprinkles of powdered tomato, powdered caramelized onion, salt and broccoli.

I'm glad I decided to caramelize a bunch of onion, dehydrate it and powder it - used as a spice it really adds a nice flavor to different stuff.
