I have had nothing but 5 cups of coffee, 2 cups of camomile tea for well over 24 hours. That and lots of water. I'm not intentionally fasting - I am just not hungry at all.

No appetite, and I spent three hours chopping ice and digging the car out today, it was brutal, almost a foot thick and solid all the way through. I should have worked up a huge appetite. I have leftover pizza from yesterday. Big whup.

Excellent, sounds like excellent Friday during Lent food :)
I'm starting to learn a lot about what the Lent means. Interesting when biblical things find meaning.

It is interesting. I like that such practises are very ancient so there's a sense of continuity between what we do and what Christians through the centuries have done.

I like to looking at it from archeology and original feast day also. It adds a lot of depth to the meaning behind the ritual. I was surprised to see that when I was researching something else and happened to come across that.

I made corned beef and cabbage last night. It was the best I'd ever made!!! Do you buy flat or point cut? The point, being fattier, was on sale with a coupon so that's what I got this time instead of the flat. I must have picked out a really good one because the fat portion was only on one small section and I cut that way. The meat was so tender!!
