Proud of myself today.

I'm off night shift by a little over an hour and I feel I did well, compared to recent habits. I have been getting fast food take-away just before work, and in addition eating some of the food meant to be tossed at work. Really bad habits to be getting into for general health and an unnecessary small drain on finances.

So today I made some rice - mixed with turmeric and sea salt. Container one.

In container 2 was some chopped up cucumber, raw red cabbage, raw kale, a little pepper, Italian dressing, "garlic steak seasoning" and olive oil. After mixing with the rice combination, I ate this first when I got hungry at work. It was extremely delicious!

Later, I had a few things that weighed me down - but - I feel satisfied with today - I've been neglecting my eating habits - especially at work (and before work), so this was a good re-start.

I've tested some of the milk substitutes, none of which actually contains milk, and can't say any of them was yummy ... not even nice.

I think I shall defrost some chicken drumsticks in the fridge today and use two of them tomorrow for a soup base. I may try using the meat with some kidney beans and potatoes to create a dinner, and have the soup (which will have heaps of tasty vegetables in it) for lunch. Both will probably make two meals each - God willing.

it's been rather cold and cloudy here for the past few days.

I have some eggs, 11 in fact, for which I ought to find useful employment.

I have 1 Kg of bacon in the freezer. I shall break some of it out (God willing) some time in the coming week and cook it in some nice lunches and dinners :)

Tacos made of lomo and peppers. I forgot to buy a sweet onion but they still tasted good.

Went to a all you can eat restaurant. Yumm. We made our own icecreams, I ate fries first and then pancake. Actually I also wanted soup, but that was a bit weird after the icecream.
