Lazy afternoon. The funeral was easy enough to run. Some of them can be tricky, usually there's at least one person who takes the mic and then refuses to actually talk into the mic, or who goes to the front and promptly steps far enough back that I can't catch any of what they are saying. Today was easy - nobody did any of that stuff. The deceased was a member of our church but not somebody I knew so from my perspective it was a bit clinical. Funerals for people I didn't know, or didn't know well, are always easier because it becomes just about the sliders. Funerals for people I knew, or close family members of people I know, can be harder.

Getting some stuff gathered up. Tomorrow I'm going for a walk in the woods that won't be quite like I'm used to. It's a route I know well but I'm taking a friend's son with me. So instead of just filling a water bottle and setting off I'll be taking first aid supplies, flashlight (shouldn't need it, but just in case it takes longer than it should!), and map and compass so I can show him how to read a map.

Hello morning all! How’s it going with your day so far? Today, I’ve just had my usual weekly 3 hours therapy. Tonight, I’m just way too exhausted to do anything else but rest in bed before tucking myself in bed.

My walk with my friend's son went well. I didn't really have any points of reference to know how long to expect the walk to take so just took a best guess. My wife was on alert in case we needed a "sag wagon". We made it to the top of the mountain and decided to call for a ride back down again. It was a good walk, the boy made a good effort.

Surprisingly short service at church today. The former sound guy and I were tinkering with the sound system earlier in the week so he ran the board to make sure all was in order. It all worked well, which was reassuring. He needed to take a break from it and there are a few aspects of it that he really doesn't like doing, but he wants to get more involved which is handy for me as it gives me more hands on deck when I need them.

I also found out my friend's boy had very heavy eyes for most of yesterday evening, so I can be pleased that I accomplished my secondary mission to take him back home worn out :)

Hello everyone!

Early this morning I went for my 10 mile run around the high school track before school opened. It was a beautiful crisp Fall weather morning. Came home, did a load of wash and hung it outside to dry. I now have to go get it, fold it and put it away. I'm starving, so lunch is next.

Hope you all are enjoying your day!
Wow, 10 mile run. That's impressive

Yo sup guys! How are you all doing today? This morning, I’ve put on my fall jacket for my usual and most peaceful walk, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga outside. I’ve put on the heating inside the house too today. The afternoon, just enjoying my usual TV show before turning myself in tonight.

I just got back from a walk around town. My wife decided not to come with me and where the 5 and 8 mile routes diverge I was really struggling with motivation but decided to do the longer walk because I figured I'd enjoy it. And enjoy it I did, about four miles in I really found my legs and cranked the pace a little. No jogging today, just a faster walk. It felt borderline chilly when I left but by the time I got home I was sweaty, the steady sunshine was surprisingly warming.

We're out of blueberries!

I guess that's a wasted trip then :p

How can you run out of blueberries? We usually buy two or three gallons of them and freeze them.

Hey sup all! How are you? Today as it’s way too cold and windy to go outside, just staying inside before rocking myself to sleep tonight

Received my new phone this afternoon so got everything switched to my new one. Getting one updated, synced and all the settings put back to where I like them takes time.

What I hate about a new phone is changing notifications since I don't like receiving any LOL I hate when apps try to tell me something and I don't want to know about it so then I have to go into the settings and find out how to shut those off.

For me it's pretty simple. If it's a text, or text-like notification, it gets one sound. I have a standard ringtone with a couple of numbers that get their own ringtone. Beyond that I'll see it next time I look at my phone.

Some of the notifications that bother me are the push ones where messages come through from some apps (like my weather app) that I don't want to show up.
