So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Hello morning all! Today, I’ve just had leftover pizza with lemon iced tea for lunch again. Tonight, just enjoying my usual TV show before tucking myself in bed.

Yesterday we took out the old mailbox and post and put up the new post with concrete. Today we're going to put on the new mailbox. Yay!

Howdy sup all! How’s it going so far with your day? Today, I’ve just had my usual 3 hours weekly therapy by phone and online. So far currently, I’m liking my new therapist. I’ve started doing some new therapeutic approaches with her that seems to work fairly better with me than my okay treatments with my previous T. Tonight, I’m way too exhausted to do anything else but rest in bed before turning myself in.

Yesterdays wood burning was a success. I left a bin mostly full of smoldering embers and today I had barely a couple of inches of dust in the bottom of the barrel. After church I took a nap that was longer than I planned, then went for my walk. I wanted to push the speed a little so my wife stayed home. For the first hour I was slower than my fastest speeds, but got further than I've done on that loop in an hour before. Then towards the end I decided to ramp the pace a bit higher and set a new personal best for the loop.

Just lately I've sometimes taken to walking some and jogging some. Today was the first time I jogged any part of the longer route. Looking at my pace profile from my tracker app I'm improving but there's still a long way to go - at present I'm only jogging for 60-120 seconds at a time and then dropping back to walking. Over time that will improve, but it's a while since I did any meaningful jogging at all so there's a long way to go.

Going to Lowe's to return something and picking up more mulch and dirt.

Feeling a bit tender today. I slept awkwardly a few days ago and my shoulder twinges a bit. Also while I was jogging yesterday I took an awkward step and jarred my hip, and that's feeling a bit delicate this morning.

This afternoon we're going to hang out with a friend and throw something on the grill. In the meantime my wife and I will do our normal walk around town, more slowly than I'd do it solo.

It's a nice day outside so I have the back door open to let the cats go in and out.
I don't have a cat door because unsupervised I have no idea what the cats might literally drag in. A few months ago one cat brought a bird in the house and let it go in the dining room. I have to caught it and the released it out the front door. It was uninjured

Hi sup all! This morning, I’ve just had a most peaceful, relaxing and refreshing walk, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga outside on the road by my home today. It’s a chilly, overcast and crisp fall weather today, ideal for my mindfulness routine outside in the morning. The afternoon, just enjoying my usual TV show before hitting the pillow tonight.

Howdy all! Sup there ma’am! How are you today? This morning, I’ve just gone outside for my usual most pleasant and quiet walk, meditation and yoga. It’s a glorious, sunny and gorgeous fall day today, 18C without any humidity. I feel relaxed after my mindfulness and self-care routine today. This afternoon, just enjoying my usual TV show before heading to bed tonight.

Hello everyone!

Early this morning I went for my 10 mile run around the high school track before school opened. It was a beautiful crisp Fall weather morning. Came home, did a load of wash and hung it outside to dry. I now have to go get it, fold it and put it away. I'm starving, so lunch is next.

Got the rest of my pile of scrap wood cut up into nice small pieces and loaded into my burn barrel. I cut it into five buckets, but could only fit four of them in the barrel at once. This time it didn't ignite as easily as the weekend's burn - I splashed acetone over it, threw in the match and waited for the following WOOMPH as the fire started. And it did, but it burned out before the wood really took the fire. So I approached very cautiously and splashed some more acetone onto the pile and there was enough heat in there to reignite. This time it burned and stayed burning. It wasn't long before it started to burn down and I could dump the fifth bucket of pieces in there. Now the level of the material is well below the top of the bin so I'm back indoors.

I plan to go for my walk around town later but my wife isn't home and I don't want to leave the fire burning totally unattended, so I'll wait a while.

Hello sup all! This morning, I’ve just been outside for my usual walk, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga. It’s a tad colder than yesterday but still a most enjoyable mindfulness routine outside. The afternoon, just enjoying my usual TV show before heading to sleep tonight.

My wife went to see a friend this morning so I took the chance to clean up some trash and scraps in my wood shop. I filled another bucket with scraps and offcuts and cleared a load of other stuff away. I also got a load of my tools into the new tool bags that arrived yesterday but can't finish the process because the seller sent me one of a particular size bag when he should have sent six. He was remarkably responsive when I let him know - within half an hour he had sent me an apology and a tracking number for the outstanding bags.

I've also got a load of offcuts of insulation panels that I thought might be useful but it now seems are unlikely to ever be used so I might as well break those up and get them bagged and ready to go out with the trash. I guess this is the stage where my empty porch gets slowly filled up with bags of trash that then get fed out to the garbage company week by week. It's cheaper and easier than taking them to the landfill, as long as the pile doesn't get too big.... Once it goes past a certain size I get sick of the sight of them and decide I'd rather pay $15 and be rid of the whole lot in one go.

Howdy sup there guys lan! How are you today? Today, just staying inside since it’s too cold to go outside before falling asleep tonight.

I got my bucketful of wood offcuts burned and the scraps of insulation material broken up and bagged up. Then I set to more cleaning up in my workshop and filled another bucket with wood offcuts. It's due to rain tomorrow so burning that will most likely wait until Friday or Saturday. I even got my miter saw cleaned out to get rid of the accumulated sawdust and small scraps that accumulate in the base. I could really do with rigging up a small separator so I can capture more dust as it's created, rather than letting it spray everywhere and trying to clean it up later.

I'm almost at a point I can get to use some of space in there. I hoped to salvage some existing shelving but it doesn't give me what I need so I'm going to need to build something from scratch. It's a bit of a pain but there you go.

Nothing much planned for today. I've got some more tool bags coming so I can use those to gather up the last few smaller tools and then maybe focus on shifting some more stuff out of a little cubby space I need to fix up.
