I speak only what the Word of God declares. These is the WORD of Jesus, and the Spirit confirms. Two witnesses. I truly find it amazing that you & another young man on here can actually read the multitude of Scripture I post, and the outright reject it. Wow! Nothing more to say.

"a tree will be known by it's fruit."
We don't reject the Scriptures you post, we reject your interpretation of those Scriptures. We're doing what you say you want people to do, reject man's interpretation of God's Word and believe only what God has revealed. That's what we're doing. We're rejecting the interpretation of a man, in this case, you. Or does your own stated standard not apply to you?

My statement applies more to me than most, as God has called and commissioned me to teach. "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." (James 3:1)
That is why I share faithful to God's Word to encourage the saints, as did the First Century disciples.

This thread is about what Jesus clearly taught - becoming one with Christ as He is with the Father. (John 17) Do you receive this Truth? If you do, then you actually do agree with me. ;)

Jesus never taught sinless perfection. So no, this thread is not about what Jesus clearly taught.

Jesus never taught sinless perfection. So no, this thread is not about what Jesus clearly taught.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." - Matt 5:48

Again, this is not to get "saved" but to inherit the promises of God. But the Elect of God, who will "sit with Him on His Throne" ruling over the saved nations of the earth MUST be perfect, as they are His counterpart, the Bride of the Lamb.
Jesus again clearly taught this -

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." - John 17:20-23

Do we believe?

Not saying we do this alone, for the Holy Spirit is our helper, but there is zero provision made in the New Testament for continued sin the "believer."

"it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." - Rom 13:11-14

Notice the Apostle is writing to "saved" people, telling them their "salvation is nearer than when they first believed", showing us the getting "saved" is not the fullness of God's GOAL yet! We've only just begun. He is bringing the Elect to "perfection", indeed without sin.

"He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." - Eph 4:11-13

"We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him." - 1John 5:18

Not saying at all that I am there yet, but oh saints, why would we settle for anything less than what God has called us to? Indeed the road to the GOAL is to being to sinless perfection those who will be Christ's "co-heirs" in that Day and inherit creation. There is no way to dismiss these verses, or pretend they do not apply directly, and only, to "believers."

Again, I have to ask... can we really reject theses passages of Scripture and the very Word of Jesus? They are very plain. If you think I twist them, show me and I will take it into consideration. All I have done is expound on the Scripture as the Holy Spirit leads. IS attacking and name-calling of the Lord? No. It is not. Honestly, if one cannot hold an adult conversation discussing the deep things of the Kingdom of God, then perhaps it is best to ignore me or seek what the Lord would have you say. For some of the attacks I have received here are NOT Christ-like in the least. Ask yourself... would Jesus approve of what I write.

Peace & Blessings to all who walk with Jesus,
Michael

When we stand before God, we will be made perfect solely because are found...in Christ Jesus, who is our perfection.
We will be perfectly sanctified because Jesus is perfectly sanctified.
God does the work in us. It is foolish to say that we who are corrupt will make ourselves holy. It cannot be done. Only Christ makes us holy for our lives are exchanged for Christ's life. We are found...in Christ.
What joy to be found...in Christ. To have our condemned self thrown to the gutter and Christ's perfectness exchanged, purely by God's grace.

I believe this is what is meant by press towards the mark of the high calling

AMEN! Brother, some will see it and receive it, "press in" and "strive to enter the rest of God" which is His GOAL for His Elect, to become "One with Christ" and minister Life and healing to the saved of the nations of the earth in Eternity.
Oh Glory!

I love fellowship with the saints who are indeed pressing in. I've come to a place in my life and my walk with the Lord that I have very little time for debating with those who have shut their ears and stubbornly cling to their own understanding of God's Word, even in the face of insurmountable clear Scriptural Truth. Most of those I find deep, True, edifying fellowship with are as you, in their 60's & 70's, and even older... many of whom remember some of the old-time prophets of God in the 1950's & '60's who received great revelation from the Lord. Not the well-known flashy preachers, but quiet men of God who knew Him and of whom "the world was not worthy."

May we not "neglect so great a salvation" that awaits those who truly repent and overcome, and press in as did Paul, who announced his GOAL here in Philippians -
"that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you."
- Phil 3:10-15

Amen. :ange06:

We can and do reject your interpretation of these passages, not the passages themselves. The Christian is dual-natured, we have the sinful nature and the new nature in Christ. You will never be without sin in this life. Even your good deeds are tainted with sin. You have not told anyone how to achieve this goal you keep talking about.

If the goal is to be one with Christ, we can't achieve that on our own, that is God's work in us. I think what has happened, is that you are confusing the works we are to do, that God prepared for us to do, and gave to us to do, with works you believe you do for God, of your own free will.

Oh please, how are you not clinging to your own understanding of God's word? You even have videos where you attempt to teach your understanding of God's word. As you say, you've "shut your ears", to anything that strays from your own interpretation.

I'm sorry son, but the Word is the Word. And what I teach in video is the same I preach in the churches I am involved with. :)

If you are so inclined, please... take the multitude of passages I've presented and use them to show how I am wrong. Meditate on these verses (ion context), seek the Lord's understanding (as I did extensively for months before my teaching), and let me know how the Bible presents a "gospel" where God will allow 'sinners-saved-by-grace' who are still sinners inherit the promises of God to "those who overcome." I'm serious. If you can, without discarding a single verse I've quoted directly from the Scripture or passing it on to the 'unbeliever' then I will consider what you have to say. If not... then perhaps you attention would be better focused elsewhere. This walk of the Way is serious business that requires diligence and faithfulness and self-control and dying to our Adamic nature that envy's & lusts & causes division among the saints.

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men." - 2Cor 5:10-11

Truly "all" means all. there are no 'Jesus glasses' as I've actually heard some preach that God uses to not see our sin. No, God does not see us 'through the Blood' or 'through Christ.' No verse even suggests such a doctrine. Only the exact opposite is taught throughout the Scripture. God sees ALL we do, and we will be held accountable in that Day, and 'Christians' even more than those in the world we often shun our noses at. (Luke 12:47-48)

"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." - Heb 4:13

Indeed, the Word is the Word. Your interpretation of the Word, however, is severely lacking and is not guided by the Holy Spirit. If it was, you would repent of your teachings. May God lead you to repentance.

Let's take Matthew 5:48. Do you know what is actually being taught there? It's about loving your enemies. From Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus is talking about how we are to love our enemies, not just those we like. Verse 48, which you have taken completely out of context and used to promote your own agenda is teaching us to imitate God when we love our enemies. It is not teaching us to become as sinless as God is, to inherit God's kingdom on the new earth, which is what you've been saying it says. If you're teaching this in churches, you need to stop teaching immediately as you are clearly not qualified and are not teaching the word of God faithfully.

Matthew 5:43-48 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may [a]be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Even elementary understanding of the Greek shows that Jesus is talking in Matt 5:48 about "maturity, completeness, lacking nothing", which when compared to the other usages of the word in the New Testament, supports the understanding God gave me completely.

So do you really believe that by the command of a young man that is uncomfortable with the words I speak, I should ignore what El Shaddai has charged me with, as well as the Pastors and Elders of the churches where I minister. Sorry, but I must obey God, rather than the word of one who understands not the Scripture, just as did the Apostles (Acts 5:29)

Man, I really don't want to utilize the "ignore" feature on this site again, but with running my HVAC business, loving my family, raising our Special Needs son, and writing & teaching the Word of God, I can't waste my time arguing with stubborn folk who are "wise in their own opinion."

As Jesus said, "if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” (Mark 6:11). I'm here for fellowship with fervent saints and to see us all grow in our faith & hope & trust in Jesus.

Attacking and name calling is not of God, even the heathen knows that. The Word says if we don't love the brothers than God will not love us. "In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother." and "Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." (1John 3:10-15) We must ask ourselves... where do we abide? For it is our behavior and action that determines where we are in God's eyes.

"Now by this we may be sure that we know him, if we obey His commandments. 4 Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not obey His commandments, is a liar, and in such a person the Truth does not exist; 5 but whoever obeys His word, truly in this person the love of God has reached perfection. By this we may be sure that we are in Him: 6 whoever says, “I abide in Him,” ought to walk just as He walked." - 1John 2:3-6 NRSV

And the Holy Spirit, through Paul, instructs us on what a True disciple of Christ Jesus acts like.

"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. [/U]Do not be wise in your own opinion[/U].
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men[/U]. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord."
- Rom 12:9-19

I have tried to be at peace with all in this forum, even those who show their true colors by their unloving remarks and attitude.
Jesus' words were so often rejected as well by those who felt great conviction at His Word and did not want to truly be free from their secret sins. Even most who had followed Him left when His demands on them made them uncomfortable. (John 6:66).
But like the Eleven, there are those who will truly strive diligently to "deny themselves, pick up their cross daily and follow Jesus." For as Jesus taught, Paul taught, John taught, many great men of God have taught over the centuries, and I now teach... the GOAL of God and of Jesus is for the Elect to become One with Them, and inherit all Creation, including those of the nations who did not overcome, but were saved by the "good works" that they did in this life.
Oh, yes, I fully expect some blood to boil over that Truth which I just stated, even though it is 100% backed up by Scripture.

I will leave you with this, young man; a clear teaching on the Sheep & Goat nations in which we see all peoples of the earth standing before Christ & His perfected Elect and entering either into darkness or Light based on their works. (Spoiler alert... most are welcomed into the Kingdom.) You probably won't watch it, as you've already made up your mind concerning what I teach, but there will be others who sense the call of God upon their lives and will delve with me into the Word of God and glean from what the Spirit is saying to the churches in our day.

""For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

(Luke 12:47-48)"

Again, you're cherry picking verses and taking them out of context. Because of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection, God does not see our sin anymore. He sees the new creation we are in Christ because Christ is the object of our faith. The verses that teach this are found in 2 Corinthians 5.

17*Therefore if anyone is*in Christ,*he is*a new creature;*the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.*18*Now*all*these*things are from God,*who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the*ministry of reconciliation,*19*namely, that*God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,*not counting their trespasses against them, and*He has*committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20*Therefore, we are*ambassadors for Christ,*as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be*reconciled to God.*21*He made Him who*knew no sin*to be*sin on our behalf, so that we might become the*righteousness of God in Him.

Wow, you claim others are wrong for calling you names and hurling insults and in this post you do the same. Hypocrite! I believe that you should take into consideration that it is more than one person in this forum who has severe problems with what you teach. A few people have pointed out your errors and still you persist that YOU are right and all others are wrong. Go ahead, ignore me. Use the feature. You obviously can't refute what I've shown to be false in your posts, as you requested. So run away. It's. what all false teachers do when they've been exposed for what they are.

It really would be interesting to sit in person with you and a couple others on here in person, with our Bibles and a cup of coffee and discuss the Word of God.
The backgrounds of folks are so different, and their understanding of Scripture so diverse. I have had real disciples question me on doctrine they've read on my website or other places I share, without harsh unfounded personal attacks, and I've met several in person or talked with them on the phone, and we've had deep spiritual meaningful conversation as we've allowed the Spirit of Jesus to meet with us. Nearly always, my own stance has been reaffirmed even if the other individual and I disagree on some points, but seeds are always planted. God wastes no time. But we must contemplate on these things and seek the Lord and His will for ourselves.
What you stated above I have sadly heard many times before. I'll leave it at that for now... I'm actually off to a Bible Study at our church were I've been teaching on the "Eternal Sabbath Rest of God." I love being in the Word and sharing Truth with the saints! :)

Hmmm. when Jesus left a city because they refused to accept the Truth He taught, would you call Him a 'false teacher'?
When He told His disciples to "shake the dust from their feet and go on to another place" if people didn't receive the Truth they taught, would you call the Apostles 'false teachers'?

Be careful, young man. God is watching. He sees ALL you do, even the secret things.

No, because Jesus did not teach contrary to Scripture, you do and this has been shown to you by myself and others. Yeah, God is watching. You're not exempt from His watching either, so stop acting like God is only focused on those who dare to disagree with you.

What is the Goal of our walk with Christ?
Is it heaven? The Kingdom of God?
Or something else?
What does the Scripture define as the GOAL?

The "Goal" is any of us being restored to God, the redemption made available through Christ for this is to bring us out and away from life of sin, that is rebellion against God's will for our life, to have relationship with God ongoing in this restoration. It will certainly be forever, through Christ, with our response for it.

The goal in Paul's analogy to a race is our persistence in our living for Christ to not compromise to sinful ways in living.

Acceptance of the Trinity & Nicene Creed
Yes
The "goal" for Christians is to reflect God's heart and will to all around us.... to love as He first loved us, to forgive as He first forgave us, to serve as He first served us, to be holy and morally perfect so that we reflect His nature. And to make disciples of all 7.5 billion people by baptizing and teaching them. All this NOT so that we will be justified or loved but because we are.

Will we achieve this? No. But we press on to make it our own, because He has made us His own.
