I still have yet to fully understand the meaning of giving a portion to 7 and 8
Ecc 11;2
Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

The First Day of Creation is interesting to see in Light of John.
The Beginning
(Genesis 1:1-2)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The Witness of John
(Malachi 3:1-5)

6There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.

9[That] was the TRUE Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word Made His Dwelling among Us
(Psalm 84:1-12)

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth. 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

I wonder about the book of Hebrews. 4;8
King James Bible
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Joshua 11:23
So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses, and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Thus the land had rest from war.

Joshua 22:4
"And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them; therefore turn now and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan.

Hebrews 1:1
On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.

Hebrews 4:9
So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

History has a way of repeating itself. God tested His people in the wilderness of sin. Here we are today in our wilderness of sin and are again being tested to see if we obey God or not.

Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

Oh but I never work on saturday, neither on wednesday, friday or sunday.

You are warm. Explain who, why, when, where, how and what did he change.

Constantinople is a city. Can a city change things?
I would like to know how?

Saturday vs Sunday

Day of rest vs Sunday

Sabbath vs Sunday

To call the seventh day of the week (also called day of rest) Saturday is wrong.

Why? Naming any day Saturday means to pay respect to Saturn.

What is Saturn? Saturn is a planet created by God. To do this is of a pagan nature.

You will be worshiping the creation and not the creator.

What did God COMMANDED us?

To only worship Him.

What day was Jesus resurrected?

He was resurrected on HIS DAY:

THE DAY OF REST, THE 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK, NOT ON SATURDAY BECAUSE HE DOES NOT LIKE YOU TO PAY HOMAGE TO NOBODY ELSE

We are very pagan by calling the days of the week with other pagan God's. We also do
the same with the months but with some exceptions?

DO YOU KNOW WHICH???

GOD finished His work of creation on a sabbath day.

JESUS finished His work of
Redemption on a sabbath day.

THERE IS A PATTERN WHY??

BOTH OF THEM ARE THE SAME PERSON AND THEY DO NOT CHANGE.

The enemy of God changed it by using people of power here on earth. He did not use cities.

Meh..others are presenting it.
Others automaticly knew that by "rome" i was referrining to constantine.
But neither day bothers me.i am bound by niether
We are to worship him in spirit and in truth not in the flesh on a particular day. But ALWAYS .
Fod when one worships the lordby the spirit of god there can be no distinction of one dayfrom another.we have entered an eternal rest.

Catholic Church went south a long time ago. Just when they got started by changing God's orders.

Revelation 18:16-19

16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and oearld!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to mought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! (wealth) for in one hour is she made desolate.

Cardenals and bishops wear red (scarlet) and purple. The Pope use to wear RED, they probably red verse 18, and changed to white a few years back.

WHAT CHURCH DO THEY REPRESENT???

Have you read about some of those RED SHOES worn by previous POPES??????

Jesus, new covenant, resurrection Sunday, Beginning at Jerusalem then in Samaria, and then through out the whole world, by rising from the dead and then sending the Holy Spirit, the laws of new moons, sabbaths, feasts.

It was RESURRECTION on His day:

The day of REST when HE rested from HIS WORK OF REDEMPTION =

THE SABBATH DAY

There is an old song sung by Melina Mercouri, and written by Manos Hadjidakis and released on October 1, 1960. The name is:

"NEVER ON SUNDAY"

IT NEVER HAPPENED ON SUNDAY. THIS IS A BIG DECEPTION

JESUS TOLD US HIMSELF
Everybody was asking for a sign, NOT A MARK
"3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS"
72 HOURS

If you do it right, you do the math and you get the right answer and the RIGHT TIME

We need to follow Jesus and to believe on what HE said.

HOW DO YOU THAT????

YOU READ THE BIBLE 1 TIME, 10 TIMES, A 1,000 TIMES

IS THE TRUTH, IS JESUS HIMSELF, GET TO KNOW HIM

Rome is not Constantine

Rome is a city
Constantine is a man

Different concepts

To say that you meant Constantine when you said Rome is confusing.

If you meant Constantine, say it so. You got me confused brother.

AND IN TRUTH?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Can you explain it to me and others that may not know what it means?

New York, the Statute of Liberty??? I don't understand?

All the CORRECT answers will be found in GOD'S "MANUAL FOR LIFE" = THE BIBLE

He created us and everything around, told in Genesis, so then He had to instruct His creation with that magnificent MANUAL.

Why is there chaos here on Earth? Why people even here - a Christian site to discuss that manual - we continue to disagree and fight?

1. There is an enemy present that throws a monkey wrench all around.

2. We have not understood His message because we don't agree.

If we interpret HIS manual the way the writer wrote it, then everybody would agree and this site wouldn't be necessary.

The problem: we have not read the MANUAL properly.

It is like when you order something through the Internet and YOU have to assemble it.

Now here I'll show the problem:
(I'll show the extremes, there are other results in between)

Human 1. Let's call him/her H1.
H1 does not want to spend the time reading those complicated instructions and gets right to it.
HE gets a mess with a lot of extra parts. He ordered a bycicle and ends up with a trycicle.

H2.
H2 prepares a cup of Colombian coffe, sets his CD to some nice music then H2 seats down to read the instructions. Reads some places twice to understand well what H2 has to do. Then H2 spreads all the parts, counts them, and then H2 goes into action carefully putting everything together. Voila, what he ordered looks exactly to the photo on the outside the box.

ARE YOU HUMANS UNDERSTANDING WHAT TAKES TO PUT OUR LIVES TOGETHER???

ARE YOU H1 OR H2????

Lol well according to this subject I'm an H1, too lazy to read the manual. I tried but it still doesn't make sense. One says this with so many Bible texts, one that. One said Babylon was Rome, the other New York because of the money or something, another says it's Jerusalem, another just literally Babylon. I have no idea. We'll see who's right. It's not a salvation issue. I spent 2 years on rapture ready sites and such when I was depressed and looking for a neat way out of here. I have no idea who's right actually. But that was a good analogy you gave.

If you know the TRUTH

NEITHER SATURDAY OR SUNDAY
WINS

WHY?

We are calling it with the wrong name.

IT SHOULD BE THE DAY OF REST
OR THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK

When you give a name to somebody or something, you are paying HOMAGE

If you call it Saturday:
You pay homage to Saturn

If you call it Sunday:
You pay homage to the Sun

The Saturn and the Sun were created by God.

You are worshiping the CREATION and not the CREATOR.

Ancient people and present people and future people have done it, are doing and will continue doing it.

IS OUR HUMAN NATURE
GOD SAID TO OVERCOME IT

The Hebrew nation called the days of the week, 1st day, 2nd day, ..... and the 7th day was called a day of rest, the Sabbath day. The whole week was called shabbaton. They say on that day: Peace on the Sabbath

"Shabbat Shalom"

Did any body follow that message?

SO MANY WARS STILL GOING ON?

NOBODY IS READING AND FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT'S WHY WE HAVE A MESS

A work week starts on monday so sunday is the last day. That it was originally otherwise, the whole society is now changed, weekend, we now have 2 free days.
We have churches here where they may do nothing on sunday. Not even get some fries from a store. One boy on a forum complained that he was bored to no end. His parents slept after the service and they forbid him to go fishing. So he sat behind the computer with the lovely weather. They took it very literal, the rest. The real severe ones walk to church and women wear a hat. Why that is not considered working and driving a car is, I have no idea. Most shops still have sunday rest and are closed.

Top Bottom
