Lazy day.

I'm reading forums, and laughing - a lot. Especially at one particular person. It is not often that one gets to see a person hang themselves so effectively, have it be hidden to many, and also to see them fighting to conceal their real motives - unsuccessfully. Of course, since it concerns me, it's all been documented. Little impish devil that I am.

Also finishing up some artwork that a little nagging voice is telling me to destroy. Sigh. It's among my best work in certain aspects - in being brazen and subtle at the same time. It's also - cold. The message is cold. I can come from a light mood, watch my creation and wind up feeling a shiver of cold run through my body. Destroying or publishing the art represents a choice, and the mere fact that I have serious reservations SHOULD be enough to stop me. But I have not yet destroyed this thing. Instead I have kept adding to it. It is a good thing, I think, that I very rarely read horror or watch horror anymore.

Eating soup.

Playing Bach. One particular prelude was giving me trouble for the longest time. Unfamiliar key - rarely do I play pieces in the key of C# much less do I improvise in it. Doing a chord analysis has helped me remember the piece better, instead of relying solely on finger and sound memory.

You should do a Live concert on Facebook :D

I started to watch a series about some people living pre-modern age in the mountains without electricity, running water, gas, etc - next to a modern town. I thought the idea was interesting and so far overall the show is entertaining - but it really irks me when the story writers don't do their homework on basic stuff. The first time the band needs to do a "run" - it's because they have "run out of" yeast to make alcohol.

So much for being self sufficient.

So they zoom into town on their quads (and are they running them on spirits, or gasoline??) to steal some yeast from a local store.

LAME. Yeah, I understand something like 80% of the population or more wouldn't blink an eye at this - but duh...anyone who brews knows that the brewing process involves a large multiplication of yeast - so that what one ends up with is a lot more than the starting amount - and can be used in future batches and even stored....

But these quasi self-sufficient mountaineers making their home-brew/spirits haven't figured this out yet? LAME.

No, it's fiction. Like I said, I just wish the story writers did a little more due diligence on the basics of the main character groups. It's obvious they do not - as the specifics of how the mountain group seem to generate limited amounts of electricity, fuel their quads (presumably with spirits or something other than gasoline if they aren't stealing it) or how they sustain themselves with food, water, shelter and warmth outside of limited references to farming is largely missing.

The main premise is supposed to be that they live off the land, off the grid, and are up against a big bad corporation intent on using the land for mining coal. It is possible to live off the land, obviously - but the story writers don't make it believable enough - like in the first episode where the mountain group has to do a raid to steal yeast. By gosh - I can create yeast with a few raisins and water and 7 days time. But they have to steal it?

You totally should! Take advantage of good weather!

I went to the Greenway instead and walked for an hour and a half. It is really good weather right now.

My husband has a cough now so we didn't get out to do any walking. It will probably be a few weeks before he feels up to it if he gets something similar to what I had.

I heard something screaming outside last night. I don't think you live in my neighborhood though!
