Thinking I ought to make "chicken stroganoff"

I made French Toast for breakfast. Hoping the rain is done so we can do yardwork today.

I am cooking the chicken stroganoff that I mentioned before at this moment. The vegetables are cooking in the microwave oven as I type. When they are half way cooked I shall, God willing, add the chicken and some of the small vegetables (peas and corn) and some of the herbs and a few extra spices. The vegetables I am cooking are these: some potatoes, onions, carrots, and mushrooms in vegetable stock with lots of white pepper.

Just waking up. It's raining cats and dogs today, but a break in the rain and the birds are very vocal. Nice morning actually.

There are a lot of vocal birds here this morning too. Plus the neighbor's chickens! I thought they would come see me while I was doing yardwork but they didn't. I'll miss them when they move away!

Much needed cleaning was done today and yesterday. Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shredding up old paper bills, getting rid of stuff I'll never use nor appreciate anymore.

Having guests soon. Strangers - but they are needed to take care of a certain problem that has manifest - not something I know how to deal with adequately. So I'm paying them to do it.

I always put off cleaning - but I'm always happier when things are cleaner. It's much easier if a little is done every day. Why, why do I put it off until absolutely necessary!!?

Cleaning always seems a little bit optional so delaying it is natural. I clean when I decide I want cleanliness. I make the decision quite often.

Yes, and the hits, I suspect, are all carpenter bees that have been gradually building a nest directly above a spare room I rarely enter. If we hadn't had some strong rains lately, I might not be aware of them until the crash I heard tonight. Ugh.
