Mary referred to Jesus as her Savior... Savior from what if not her her sins?

Jesus is saviour of all people. Blessed Mary is people. Therefore Jesus is Blessed Mary's saviour.

1 Timothy 4:10 For to this end we toil and struggle, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Saviour of all people, especially of those who believe.

Mary referred to Jesus as her Savior...
Savior from what if not her her sins?

Finally, a simple question...

Most here want to say: "Saved from her sins..."

Actually, she was saved from the death into which she had been born in Adam...

It is on account of this death that all have sinned...

It is the death that Jesus overcame by His Death on the Cross...

It is the death into which are entered all born in Adam...

It is the death the sinless Mary gave to Jesus to overcome in His Own Body...

It is death that is our enemy, not God Who loves His Creation...

Thank you for your direct and honest question...

This passage accounts for my personal non-believer's Salvation...

Thanks for reminding me of it...

We have 2 posters who have provided some samples of early church fathers. Were there others?

Some points to keep in mind....

1. This is a unique dogma of only one singular, individual denomination.

2. It was not made dogma until 1854. It is the second newest dogma in all Christianity.

3. There is NOTHING in Scripture that remotely states or even implies this.

4. There is NOTHING in early tradition on this. There is no mention of this by anyone until the FIFTH Century, many centuries after anyone who knew Mary had died. And it was not taught by the RCC until the 12th Century. It is very late and unique to one single denomination.

Everything written above is false.

Josiah, when you read "sinlessness of Mary" you need to train yourself NOT to hear "Immaculate Conception"...

The question asked was: "Saved from what?"

Repeating "Saved" is non-responsive...

Actually all of it appears to be true (even if you think it concerns a different subject).

But does not the claim that she NEVER COMMITTED any sin also qualify as a belief in the "sinlessness of Mary?"

Saved from the penalty of original sin, that is death.

Of which sins do you accuse Blessed Mary?

:(

I thought you liked it because it answered Lamm's request.

English Standard Version John 2:3-4 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”

God is 100% Holy, not 99.99%... Absolutely NO ONE is equal to his Holiness!
Mary was picked by God and even the Angels praised her, she was blessed and fulfilled her God given duty.
Now does this mean she was sinless?
I can understand why God picked a virgin and made such a miraculous birth for Christ, his resurrection was miraculous too, you would think after giving birth to the Son of God you would just remain a virgin, I dunno but it matters not one tiny bit because she accepted Christ as her Savior in the end and that's all that matters.
Nothing wrong with adoration towards Mary, I myself see her as a remarkable woman and God is well pleased with her.
All are required to die once, all fall short, all are saved in Christ only as there is no other way to the Father but by him, Mary is not an exception IMHO

What is the sin you allege that Blessed Mary commits in that passage?

Menno obviously knows that the reference is to the mother of Jesus, but "Blessed Mary" is a curious term. The commonly used one is BVM--Blessed Virgin Mary (or those initials, if preferred).

No, I get that.
I bought my mom this book on Prayer through Cancer, and she loves it... she told me that the big "C" actually stands for "Christ" because "cancer" is always lowercased ;)

Too many letters to type in CH. Besides MennoSota knows and all he is doing is playing word games, as is his custom.

So there aren't any more early church father quotations to back up that they believed that Mary was sinless?
