The it is not their time to have the keys of the kingdom.
John 5:16 And this was why the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did this on the sabbath.
In Luke 21:24, Yeshua is speaking of future events, including the destruction of Jerusalem and His return. He says that “Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” Paul also talked about it.
Romans 11:25 “A partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in”
Daniel’s series of visions deals with Gentile world powers and their role in God’s plan for the earth. Nebuchadnezzar’s image of gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay (Daniel 2:31–45) represents successive Gentile kingdoms that will dominate until Christ returns and establishes His reign. In each of these passages, the Gentiles have dominion over the world, including the Jewish people, for a time, but God will ultimately subdue them all and establish His Judaism kingdom once and for all. In Revelation 11:2, John indicates that Jerusalem will be under Gentile rule, even though the temple has been restored. The armies of the Beast are destroyed by the Lord in Revelation 19:17–19, just before the millennial reign of Christ is initiated. Notice that God never considered the Gentiles representative of His kingdom. While Israel had failed, God because of their faith in God's Judaism of faith, the Jewish Messiah, and the Jewish Bible, they are His chosen people....If these people didn't believe in Him like their ancestors did, the faith would not have been passed down. Remember the day is coming when the blinders will come off and they will cry.
Zechariah 12:10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.”
This prediction, that Israel will see someone whom they “pierced,” is amazing because it is God Himself speaking—the Lord is the One who is “pierced.” In Revelation 11:2, John indicates that Jerusalem will be under Gentile rule, even though the temple has been restored. The armies of the Beast are destroyed by the Lord in Revelation 19:17–19, just before the millennial reign of Christ is initiated. So the binders will come off at the end... which we are seeing as the blinders are being peeled off more and more of the people of Israel daily. This is when the first shall be last and the last shall be first. It is because the Jewish Messiah comes... and those who mourn at His coming were expecting another... like a Catholic version or something.
Revelation 1:7 adds, “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him”
