Okay...then why do you despise wisdom and instruction? You receive wise counsel here and you despise it. Run from Rome, MC.

The scriptures advise that a fool makes their heart known by the words they speak.

Run from Rome, MC. That's the wisest advice you'll receive.
Now, please share the actual scripture rather than make a claim that is designed to hold up your crutch. God will graciously kick out your crutch.

You have taken unsupportable leaps in thought here. You are interpreting the Bible like Muslims interpret the Bible. No context, no concept of connection, purposeful mischaracterization of the text for selfish and premeditated reasons. Arsenios, no one should take you seriously on this matter.

Back at ya!

A.

there is nothing in Scripture that remotely indicates... that those in heaven hear our requests....
My thanks to Arsenios...
.

Heb 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight,
and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience
the race that is set before us,

You are welcome...

Heb 12:1 doesn't show that we are to ask saints in heaven for help.
That passage is dealing with endurance in running the good race.
Heb 12:1 is a continuation of Heb 11, where the context begins.

God told me that there's none so blind as those who refuse to see.

If you're telling the truth then you know that God warns not to waste too much time in discussions with vexatious persons.

This verse refers directly to the legacy of faith in chapter 11.
We have a legacy of people who discipled us. Nowhere does it say "pray to them and ask them to change God's mind on your behalf."
You are desperately reaching for something that is not there.

God told me not to waste too much time in discussions with vexatious persons.
Did God tell you to remain in a church that is teaching false doctrine?
The vexation is within you, MC. You stubbornly cling to the whitewashed walls of Rome.

You are quoting scripture like Satan did. He is a master at misquoting and twisting context. Why do you follow his lead?

God tells me to remember what the holy scriptures teach and to tell it to the people. He added that some will not listen.

Yup. As you and MoreCoffee have helpfully proven, there is NOTHING in Scripture that indicates we are to extend prayer requests to those in heaven..... NOTHING that indicates that those in heaven hear our prayer requests..... NOTHING that indicates that those in heaven pass on our requests or fulfill our requests.... NOTHING that indicates that their prayers work while ours do not.

And of course, EVEN IF the guess is right... then all those in heaven can do for us is pray (not to minimize that). But if I ask my wife to pray for me, she can do SO much more! She can minister to me in my situation!!! She can comfort or encourage or correct (oh yeah), she can MINISTER, she can HELP, she can even be an instrument of God for the situation of my need. All my grandpa in heaven can do is just pray - he could do SO VERY, VERY much more than that when he was still here.
