Yup. As you and MoreCoffee have helpfully proven, there is NOTHING in Scripture that indicates we are to extend prayer requests to those in heaven..... NOTHING that indicates that those in heaven hear our prayer requests..... NOTHING that indicates that those in heaven pass on our requests or fulfill our requests.... NOTHING that indicates that their prayers work while ours do not.
And of course, EVEN IF the guess is right... then all those in heaven can do for us is pray (not to minimize that). But if I ask my wife to pray for me, she can do SO much more! She can minister to me in my situation!!! She can comfort or encourage or correct (oh yeah), she can MINISTER, she can HELP, she can even be an instrument of God for the situation of my need. All my grandpa in heaven can do is just pray - he could do SO VERY, VERY much more than that when he was still here.
