So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Is it easier than using something like PowerPoint? My concern with leaving the only copy of something on Google isn't so much privacy (I don't imagine you'll be embarrassed if a hacker gets hold of your recipes) as the chance it will be deleted or you'll find you can't get at it any more. Even...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

These days when we have all sorts of online media you could always create a site and list your designs, patterns, recipes etc and look to drive traffic to it through things like here or any other online presence you have. If you create your own site you have more control over it than if you put...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Always a good reason to share recipes. I remember years ago my mother found a knitting pattern in one of her magazines that had been submitted by an elderly lady who had knitted them for years, had no relatives interested in knitting, and just didn't want the pattern to die with her. So she...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

I'd suggest keeping your own offline copy as well. Keeping the only copy in a system owned by someone else seems like an ideal way to find you have to pay whatever they ask, if they suddenly change the rules of their online storage. If it's online is it something worth making public? If you...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Had another round of hill repeats yesterday. I wish I could adjust the workouts in this schedule because there are only six repeats and I'm finding them too easy. It would be good to use a steeper hill but the only hills around here that are steeper have the chance of traffic (including dump...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Time for the car to have its service and annual inspection. All good this year but I have a nasty feeling that next year I'm going to need four new tires and at least two new brake pads. That's on top of a major service. I might have to start auctioning body parts now....

    Context

Lots of words that have precious little to do with the subject of context. You used an awful lot of words to avoid a one-word answer.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Woke up to a dusting of snow, and figured I wasn't going to get my workout in today. But this afternoon it warmed up so I went out to see what would happen. And it turned out to be warm enough to complete it. Today was a "magic mile" and goal pace repeats. The mile was hard, the idea is to try...

    Homemade Gifts

I've made a few crosses from wood. I gave one to a friend's daughter as a baptism gift, and she loved it.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

I got a shorter walk than normal, in the dark and a gentle snow flurry. I carry a bright light with me so the few cars that pass can clearly see me. Although it was a shorter walk I still managed to get 10,000 steps in today, even if only just.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

It's cold and very windy today - 35mph gusts - so my scheduled workout isn't happening until hopefully tomorrow. We stopped by our favorite brewpub to pick up some discounted beers. A couple of good friends of ours also really like the place so we split a case with them and shared the discount :)

    Anyone loves Mussels?

I love mussels. Don't eat them very often but I prefer a wine based sauce to marinara.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Walk in the woods with my wife. It was a leisurely walk - she doesn't attack hills at the same kind of pace as I've grown used to - but an enjoyable walk. We took in a nice vista. Now I'm just wrapping up a few things while dinner is cooking.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Hard workout today. I really didn't feel like it but decided to go out anyway and see what happened. This time the speed repeats were increased from 8 to 10 and they were hard. But I got the whole workout done and just about managed to stay within the speed targets, even on the last of the...

    Mary’s Perpetual Virginity

"You are wrong and I am right. Neener neener." I think that about sums up the argument on one side of this discussion. Time for me to unsubscribe from this thread....

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

I had planned to do some more work with my porch ceiling but it's cold and windy. I took the chance to chisel out a couple of sections of perished mortar and get them packed with nice fresh cement. Even doing that wasn't much fun - the wind made it hard to mix up cement and the cold meant that...

    Context

Lots of words but precious little useful information here, other than a sense that "the church" (whatever that means today) can come up with an idea and declare it to be truth even if it has no backing whatsoever in Scripture. How would you differentiate between "the truth" as allegedly revealed...

    Context

So is context relevant or not? A simple yes or no answer will do just fine. You said context is a tool to deny the faith so I'm not sure why you're even asking that.

    Context

You said context was a tool to deny the faith. You don't get to say that and then argue that context is relevant. It's either relevant or it's a tool to deny the faith. Which is it? If it's not relevant, Paul very clearly says to be drunk with wine.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Got some more work done on my porch, and then did another workout. This was another round of hill repeats. The hill repeats are too easy - they only last for 15 seconds so I've taken to attacking the hill at a full sprint to make them more interesting. Wednesday is back to speed repeats - 10 of...
