Look for another job, and in the meantime play them at their own game. Work exactly to your contract, practise malicious compliance to the maximum extent possible and, to the extent you can, give them the impression you really don't care about what they are doing. It's a paycheck, not a social life.
Unless there's some improvement in the animal's life it makes little difference whether its death is more or less humane. It makes no sense to argue that, say, a chicken must be killed in a particularly humane manner when it spent its entire life in a box so small it couldn't move.

I don't see it as anyone's job in particular, as long as somebody does it I really struggle to see why it matters.
Usually when you've put your stuff down you can reach it. Sometimes if the belt is long and there are several of them the person behind you can put one down just as easily.

We streamlined our structure to get rid of a load of committees. Under the old system it often felt like anything new got lost somewhere between committees before landing on whichever one would say no to the new idea.
Today's suggested workout was a 90 minute base run. I still haven't got the hang of the slower speeds so it turned into a 90 minute threshold level run. My race predictor shaved nearly two minutes off its estimation for how long it would take me to run a marathon, which is interesting and all...
The only times I've seen men's bathrooms that don't have baby changing facilities in the last several years have been the kind of run down taverns that you probably wouldn't be taking a baby into anyway.
Yesterday's suggested workout was a 30 minute recovery-level workout, but my legs felt strong and wanted to go fast. I planned sprint repeats but didn't have time before meeting a friend, so decided to do a fast run instead. It worked pretty well except I took a couple of the hills too hard and...
If nothing else it's a convenient distraction from the laptop that didn't belong to Hunter and didn't contain any discussion of dubious transactions, and even if it did they were nothing to do with Hunter, and even if they were there's nothing to see here so let's all move along.
What's curious...
I found it curious reading the New York Times' daily email this morning how they compared Trump to others who had faced trial and jail for mishandling classified documents, complete with examples.
For some reason the presence of classified documents that a certain Mrs Clinton mishandled, even...
But, but, but, having a conversation and discussing like adults takes away all the chance to post screen captures online to show how unreasonable everybody else is being.
I slow down. I don't care how slowly I have to go, sooner or later they will either take the hint and back off, or pass. I don't care which.
The idea behind the move is that if they are too close to stop at the speed you're going you slow down until the space they leave is a safe stopping...
It's so much easier to pay your own bill.
From what I gather the dating game these days seems to be a minefield. Some think the man should pay for the first date regardless but with the rise of internet dating apps it seems that's little more than an invitation for women to take advantage and...
Chances are the contractor is banking on people either not reading it, or skimming over it because they don't realise they still have the option to not sign the contract. I always find it remarkable when people are handed a page of small print and just sign it without even reading it.
You just need to be careful that the wording is absolutely clear and can only reasonably be interpreted one way. If you and the contractor read the same words and interpret them differently then a judge could conceivably interpret them either way and therefore could rule either way, in which...
That doesn't really answer the original question. It's also sad if you end up causing trouble for working overtime when overtime isn't allowed, to do something that someone else should be doing.
I'm not sure that getting fired for ignoring your paid job to make someone a coffee really counts as "being righteous having negative consequences". How is it righteous to take someone's money to do a job and then not do the job they paid you to do?
I can't say I've noticed people treating me particularly differently, although my doctor doesn't tell me I need to lose weight with every checkup any more.
For me a major difference since my weight loss is that more people around town know who I am. I'm the guy who walks and runs all over the...
