Do black holes have a back door?

I do not place my own views and reasons for faith above evidence and do not think that what I found convincing will necessarily convince others yet for me careful thought about the value of goodness and why I consider goodness important led to thinking about God and the gospel according to saint...

Resources on the Doctrine of the Trinity, with Solid Scriptural Exegesis

Saints Augustine and Athanasius both have works that deal primarily with the Holy and Blessed Trinity with abundant scripture and sound reasoning with the kind of exegesis used in the early and very early church authors. Have you read their works? I found this page using google just now...

Do black holes have a back door?

Yes, I understand the rejection - bare assertion is not very convincing and it makes one wonder how Christianity gained 2 or more billion adherents, but then when one considers Donald Trump's popularity perhaps bare assertions are convincing to many.

Do black holes have a back door?

That God is un-caused is explicit in Christian theology. God did not evolve. He was not created. He did not begin to exist. He is the ground of being for all created things. That includes space-time and every form of matter/energy known and unknown. But, of course, these theological assertions...

Controversial: I saw this on a web site - from a "Reformed Baptist"

Okay, we have had some continuation V cessation threads in CH and they seem to create more smoke than light so maybe raising the topic is going to be unfruitful but maybe it need not be. Here's what I saw on a web site (Grace to you) run by Cessation advocates associated with John MacArthur's...

    Pronunciation in Latin :)

Chances are that most readers here in Christianity Haven do not worry too much about how Latin was pronounced by Julius Caesar but there is an interesting short video that discusses it. I enjoyed watching it. Wenee Weedee Weekee ;) And that clever orator Cicero ... his name was Kikero :P...

    What are you eating?

Big meal :) I cooked some turkey mince (about 400 g) with two large onions, tomato paste (about two tablespoon fulls), crushed tomatoes, chilli, pepper, salt, spices, and some water to make a meat-sauce for use with rice and pasta. I've had two rice with sauce meals so far, am planning (God...

Do black holes have a back door?

In Christian theology the speaker - God - is uncreated and hence did not "come from" anything or anyone preceding. God is (in Christian theology) un-caused. God is (in Christian theology) not in the category of creature.

What do you need to know to get to heaven?

It isn't the concept of "saved by God's grace alone through faith alone - faith itself being a grace given without the prior consent or cooperation of the receiver and without any human work preceding it or any human work enhancing it and thus becoming a means by which a human contributes to...

What do you need to know to get to heaven?

Does you reply mean that folk who think they contribute to their salvation (albeit by the grace of God) are going to hell?

Is this how USA people elect a President?????

The campaigning for the primaries took place in many states but presidential election campaigns appear to concentrate on about a dozen states and ignore the rest or given them only very superficial attention.

Does religion cause most conflict in the world?

Bookish religion can be unhelpful and unhealthy for one's morals and one's humanity towards others. A chap I know on IRC, a Calvinist, asserts that Jesus engages in genocide. His religion is - without doubt - not as harsh as his choice of words but the bookishness of it appears to give license...

Do black holes have a back door?

It's a trick question. Black holes do not have any doors :P They have an event horizon, some folk say, and they may possibly lose tiny amounts of energy by means of a kind of quantum tunnelling of various energies/particles. But a "back door" sounds like untested (at the moment) speculation.
