I've agreed to that. Now, though, it sounds like you just don't want to admit to the obvious. We do tolerate all sorts of things that might bring danger or harm to other people, so long as it's unlikely or limited in scope. However, we do not do that when the threat is really serious or might...

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

That's quite a change from your previous answer, here: "...Abraham was Justified before and had righteousness imputed to him before the Cross" Rom 4:1-3

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

Yes. Hi there! Abraham was not permitted into heaven after death, however. He and other 'greats' of the OT had to wait until Christ completed his work. His eternal destiny may have been set in his own lifetime, but the payoff required Christ to come and pay the penalty for sin on behalf of all...

    Cannabis

There is indeed. However, it is quite unrealistic to maintain that if hard drugs are made easily and legally available, that there will not be consequences such as innocents, non-users, being hurt by those who obtain those drugs without prohibition. There is nothing peculiar or revolutionary...

Paul thanks God he didn't baptise more than he had.

Exactly what is it that makes you think that God does not select certain people for certain roles in His plans for mankind? He had a "chosen race" and we do not recoil from that, claiming that God cannot be doing such an unfair thing. And a number of other notable figures in Scripture are...

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

There is no contradiction here. NO ONE was right with God prior to Christ's saving work. But that doesn't mean everyone has a free license to sin at will during the whole of their lives since they have lived life with free tickets to heaven in hand. No. And nothing Christ ever taught backs up...

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

    Not Even Pelagius believed that!

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

Why do you ask? We had been talking about Luther's (and your own) preference for immersion as the mode of baptism.

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

All you can agree with is the personal preference for baptism by immersion rather than for baptism in the ways that are used most often by Western churches, either Catholic or Protestant. It's not a matter of the validity of the Baptism. It's hardly worth a mention on a thread that started us...

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

With that, you are no longer in agreement with Luther. Luther did not consider the application of water to require that this be by immersion, even though it's widely recognized throughout Christianity that there is some good symbolism involved with Immersion. Baptism by affusion is just as...

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

So? There's nothing wrong with baptizing by immersion.

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

What happened to your need to tell us (in post #104) that Luther favored baptism by immersion?

    Cannabis

Possibly because users of those drugs, not MJ, will and often do currently sell them to unsuspecting people or give them away, sometimes just for fun, as happens at Halloween 'trick or treating' time...and the recipients are killed. I cannot easily dismiss this certainty any more than I (or...

Baptism in Jesus’ name, Trinitarian style.

So what? I don't know any churchman who considers it to be wrong or invalid, do you? (That's aside from a few people who imagine that they can be baptized by some mental gymnastics in defiance of the Biblical model and Christ's own words, of course)

Do you think it is possible

Okay. I guess that "predominantly" was the key word here. While the prince of this world goes about tempting men, we begin life with a fallen nature, thanks to Adam and Eve. You speak of 'cognition centers,' etc., so we should realize also that we are given to vanity, jealousy, and etc. by...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Honestly and sincerely, I cannot figure why you are determined to reject almost anything someone else says around here, even if you have to post something as silly as the above retort...and do it without ever dealing with the message that they took the time to explain to you at your own request!

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Wrong again, but I'm sure I'll be reading the same words from you a few more times, right?

Jesus died for the sins of the world

If she refuses the hand of the Savior, that makes her LOST, not a different "savior." 🙄
  19. Albion

Jesus died for the sins of the world

    1. Yes, we know you want to believe that's all true. 2. But it isn't. 3. Posting it in identical form several more times probably won't change anything. ;)

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Exactly. And this means that if everyone has a shot at achieving salvation through his own efforts, the atonement for sin that was achieved on the Cross cannot also exclude most of the people.
