Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I just didn't think this sentence of yours made any sense... "These members have claimed that Faith is merely a symbol or gesture, or a consequence of Faith, " How could faith be a consequence of faith? In Rom 8:29-30, and elsewhere, it's rather obvious God completes what He began...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

or a consequence of election, IOW, who has been of the Elect that has not , in time, been justified? Romans 8:29-30 For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. [30] And those He predestined, He also...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Is this what your Church teaches, or is this what you teach?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Only problem is that God deals with us on an entirely different economy...by grace...so using human examples is invalid, methods or no methods.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I think you are overreaching. Salvation is a free gift, your examples don't apply. One's motive for doing what they do is key here. Do I do in order to get, or because I have already been given?

How do you deal with distractions in church?

Usually, I'll look at the pastor with a look that says, "So, watcha gonna do about it?" lol

How do you deal with distractions in church?

Sheesh, I'm sometimes glad I had no Church upbringing, school was bad enough. lol

How do you deal with distractions in church?

I guess it would depend on the distraction. (I don't want to assume it would be kids. I've experience just as many distractions from adults).

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

God has already told us in His Word... Acts 4:12 NASB95 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." (In vs 10 they were referring to Jesus)

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I think you are confusing me with Brightflame, we are justified 'in time' when we believe, not before. I believe it is based on God's election.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I said type and you say foreshadow. Could you explain the difference between a foreshadow and a type?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Right, but would that mean the Mohammedans and Jews are justified when they invoke God's name?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

But if one neglects the Son, then there is no justification period.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

What if the OT sacrifices typified the one true Sacrifice as explained in Hebrews? Then they would have been justified by the antitype, the blood of the Lamb.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Ok, so you are reading into the text.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

On what basis does He justify?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Rom 5:9 says... Romans 5:9 NASB95 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. Says nothing about change in the text, just 'justified by His Blood'. It's not wise to add words to Scripture.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

It's easier to mark a post 'disagree', than to explain why.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Romans 5:9 NASB95 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. Paul is simply contrasting our former position (enemies) to our current position (reconciled) and is saying 'now' being justified, how much more we shall be saved. the...
