Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

So is bearing false witness of what another believes. Where did I ever say that God 'unjustifies' someone?
  2. prism

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I was referring to 'objective justification', another construct of man.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Just as I figured, the Reformed, just like Calvin, has problems with the Incarnation. The basis for justification before God in eternity was the shed blood which would be shed in time. Romans 5:9 ESV Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

It makes as much logical sense as objective justification. Who benefits from OJ except believers?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Those may be your words...not mine.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

We dwell in time, and God came to us in time via the Incarnation

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I believe I was referring to 'objective justification', and you're saying 'all but a tiny few radical Calvinists teach it'? If you are referring rather to BF's odd teaching, I believe I have made it quite clear that I do not ascribe to it.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

So it does no good until it has been applied by faith.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Yes, in eternity: No, in time.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Since all are ungodly (Rom 3), He therefore died for all! So much for particular/limited atonement.🙄 Scripture never says a person is justified apart from faith.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I've not heard of Anglicans espousing objective justification,...only Lutherans (esp. LCMS). Is that what you hold to?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Would you try to explain to an unsaved person about how they are objectively justified?
  13. prism

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

So 'until the reception by Faith', objective justification does nothing but gives false hope to the unconverted? IOW, another doctrine of man, more speculation.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Romans 8:30 And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. Does that mean that 'objectively', ALL will be glorified?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Again, Scripture doesn't say who Jesus died for, so we can't say who was justified at His death.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

You are living in the land of speculation my friend. Until you can show me from Scripture that we are justified before faith, I refuse to tread those grounds.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Going beyond Scripture by the use of human reasoning is a poor way of establishing biblical doctrine. Scripture reveals we are justified through faith in Jesus (He was revealed/incarnated in due time), not before or after we believed. I would agree, we are justified as a result of our election...

Do you think the DOJ is corrupt?

Does one think politicians are pure?

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Yes, I tend to take things literally ( it must be the Dispensationalist part of me :) )

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I don't recall saying anything of the sort. (I'm not even sure what your comments have to do with Rom 8:29-30). Re: (Phil 1:6) I was merely responding to Albion's comment of 'what it takes to complete the process.. Phil 1:6 answers that nicely. You and Albion make a nice tag team, sometimes...
