    Predestination, fate, freedom?

John Piper has been noted to say that this would include God having providence over every speck of dust that floats in the air, controlling its every movement. Would you agree with 'predestination' to that degree? If I can dig up the clip, I will. Might take some time, though.

    Baptismal Birthday?

Baptised as an infant in the Presbyterian church, then again in the Pentecostal church in February, 2001. If I knew what I know now, I never would have let them touch me the second time.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 2

They weren't fond of that being pointed out to them.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 2

Well, some of the admins on this particular site never answer questions directed right to them. They can be a bit 'snippy' and toss a person off if it suits them. But far be it from me to 'out' them publicly. :D

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 2

Finding out that when other Christian discussion boards say 'thumbnail' avatars, they mean it. Sooooo many changes. For a moment, they changed how many post 'likes' a person had to a 'karma' rating. Huh...?

    Playing mindless games on facebook.

    Predestination, fate, freedom?

The problem is we can't question a person's motives, as we don't know them. I can act with pure motives, the same as you, the same as a 'dead' man. Our motives can also be 'impure'. Belonging to Christ and having his righteousness changes nothing in regard to motives. I would be referring to...

    Predestination, fate, freedom?

'Dead' people do many things. I've been witness to 'dead' people who have modeled better marriages than some believers, I see them go to grocery stores, many are my close personal friends. If you mean that they cannot 'save' themselves, you'd be right. Only the Spirit of God can lead them and...

    Books and myths.

I remember being a fan of Ray Bradbury when I was younger/pre-teen. His stories seemed to spur the imagination for me. I recall 'Farenheit 451' being a favorite, but I don't recall the whole back-story. May be time to revisit it.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 2

Not yet, but a few of the natives were a bit restless. I did manage to lock myself out of the support staff office about 5:30, though. Hung out in the lobby until the morning shift arrived. :)

    Random nonsense

Yep. Lions don't get the concept that if you're down 21-10 at half-time, you're probably not going to win (if you're the Lions...)

    Is it faith and works?

    Yes, but who's working?

Do the foods you eat or refuse to eat make you more pleasing to God?

What need would there be if we are present with him?

Can a Christian be a teetotaler?

Perhaps. it's best left to the conscience of the person. I won't fear monger, though. If one is afraid to take communion because of the wine, then the person may need counsel on the purpose of the wine in the first place. Its significance is a different matter than what it was used for in the...

    Men need to quit!

    Yeah, I'm a bit confuzzled...
