    Sinners Prayer in the Bible?

fwiw, the "Sinner's Prayer" baffles me to no end. I see really no basis for it, and it could be a false hope for whomever may hope in it. Entire programs (hello 'Alpha'...) have been designed around it. I'd first heard of it years ago when I was in the Pentecostal church. That denomination did...

Go up, thou bald head! :D

Given some context with what had recently happened with Elijah, I would hazard a guess that it happened. God may have honored Elisha's request, although we don't know specifically what he asked for - only that he "cursed them in the Name of the LORD"

Then what would you say this means? I'm at a loss. Now as an elder myself and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as one who shares in the glory to be revealed, I exhort the elders among you 2 to tend the flock of God that is in your charge, exercising the oversight, not under...

Go up, thou bald head! :D

All I can figure is that it was so soon after Elijah being taken up, and that Elisha had been so faithful. He may not have been in the mood for jesting.

So you're suggesting that the Mennonite tradition doesn't influence your Christian theology and worldview? You do know that the Mennonite name-sake was around at the time of Luther, right? I would suggest that if you study Mennonite history, you might be surprised how traditional you really are.

"American Made". He portrays 'Barry Seal', recruited by the CIA in the '80's to run drugs and weapons for the U.S. government. He eventually got wrapped up in the Iran/Contra scandal and on the wrong side of the Medellín cartel. Pretty good portrayal. Cruise was perfect for the part. It takes...

Gods Voice(Only those who believe that God speaks today)

I would say that there are some things from my Pentecostal days that I'd not discount. An audible voice? No. Other experiences such as visions? A few. Biblical support for these things are sort of hard to come by for me to be unequivocal about it, so I chalk them up to personal opinion that the...
