    Christian Universalism and Universalism

One basic assumption that I make when interpreting scripture is that the scriptures are in harmony with each other. Because God's word is not inconsistent nor is it without harmony. So, the correct interpretation of one verse will be compatible with others that talk about the same thing. If...

    Christian Universalism and Universalism

Okay, let's look at those one at a time and see if it really addresses universalism 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. Acts 3:21 This doesn't suggest to me universalism, but it does suggest that God...

    The Ethics of a Gym

I'm assuming your at the "judgment free zone" which is the same chain of gyms that I use. That particular group of gym really minimizes the staff's responsibility to teach people how to use the equipment in the right way. That can lead to injury. There are classes, but they aren't mandatory...

We were suppose to meet at 2 pm today but I canceled it because I am sick with a cold and didn't want to give it to him before he left the country. He is going on a mission trip next week

    Pastor preaching watered down sermons

Well, the sad thing is that this church seems to be more active and drawing a younger crowd that most of the other churches in the area. I have over the last 10 years been to many churches in the area. Most of them seem to be weak or dying.

    Who taught you to cook?

I don't really know how to cook much, especially from scratch. If it comes in a box or can be microwaved though I'm your man.

    Pastor preaching watered down sermons

We are trying to find a time to meet so we can discuss this more fully, but I doubt that it will be productive. He spent 5 weeks talking about what a disciple is and I think he may have been offended when I told him that even a believer who has been a Christian for more than 15 minutes should...

Why doesn't the Bible address the topic of finding a spouse in more detail?

the Bible doesn't address it because in many cultures marriages were arranged by parents therefore this problem didn't exist then

Trump Declares National Emergency to Build Border Wall

I don't think it is a national emergency, but I think he is actually trying to keep a campaign promise so that is good. This will go to the courts to decide now.

    Pastor preaching watered down sermons

I have been very disappointed in the pastor where I have been going to church that most of his sermons lately seem very watered down and basic. Not much there for me to really think about or challenge me to grow as a believer. After about five weeks of this, I sent an email to my pastor...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 6

Getting use to a new work schedule this week. I was working in an office up until a week and a half ago. Now, I spend only about two hours a week in the office and see clients in the community. So, I mainly work out of my home and then go see clients at their home. So, big change to deal...

Does prayer change things or does it only change us?

We should simply pray that God's will is done and trust that He knows what that is and we don't always. Sometimes he will change the situation and then sometimes he uses the situation to change us. As a whole, pray is not about what you can get, but about trusting in Him

Because exercise is linked to living longer and it also helps with stress and feel better. Plus, I also like to set goals and achieve them. I would like to be able to run a 5k under 30 minutes. Then move up to longer races such as a 10k or half marathon
