Church... A word of pagan origin -

Well, you resurrected this thread and then got a little brash with one of the other members as well as myself. Closing this thread since you haven't edified anyone.

Should people who aren’t organ donors.

Of course they should. Not everyone is able to medically donate an organ due to certain diseases. I couldn't even donate blood for some years after my cancer but does that mean I shouldn't be able to receive blood either?

Which non-Christians do you think contributed the most to mankind's well-being?

Because of my 2nd point. God doesn't consider works to be good unless they're done by those who have faith. Our works are tainted with our sin so only the blood of Jesus can make works good.

    Do politicians deserve privacy?

Do politicians deserve privacy? There is some drama happening in my town and of course it's all political and someone is bringing up the past of the politician's husband that was from 20 years ago. This made me wonder if people don't think politicians deserve any privacy?

Which non-Christians do you think contributed the most to mankind's well-being?

Why do you ask? I mean, they can do all they want to help mankind but their acts are not considered "good" by God if they aren't done by faith in Him.

What is your view on proselytizing?

Since only God knows the heart, we don't know if they did truly die rejecting Him or if His planted seed came to fruition at the very end and they repented and believed.

    Jesus can change people?

It wasn't part of God's plan to do it at that time...look at this verse: Galatians 4:4-6 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6 Because you are his sons, God...

    Jesus can change people?

Our suffering doesn't contribute to our salvation. Jesus is the way to our salvation, not something we do or suffer through. You point out very well about the collective and that's how the Hebrews would think too...and rightfully so. It's the Greeks that brought "individualism" out more. The...

What is your view on proselytizing?

If you stood on the street corner with a sign saying Repent, would your message be well received or scoffed? Here in the US you would be pushed aside, told to get out of the way or completely ignored. That's why I suggest building a relationship with people so that you can share the good news...

What is your view on proselytizing?

That kind of leads to the idea that the blind person could make a decision to keep his way out of danger and I don't believe in decision theology. God works through His Word to bring people to faith and it's His will that converts them, not man making a decision.

    Health Insurance Billing

Does your health insurance handle billing in a timely manner without fuss? Usually our insurance is good to handle claims but yesterday I got a bill in the mail from a service back in October that hadn't been paid. A phone call this morning proved that they never got the claim and when I...

    The cheap version

Great advice! I won't buy a cheap car but I won't buy the expensive one either. There are some foods I like to buy that I won't buy cheap. Even cheap bacon doesn't taste the same as some of the name brands. How can you mess up bacon?

    An extra $1,000 every month

Is that after taxes? ;) An extra $1,000 a month I think we'd probably use to travel and visit family. We could enjoy doing things with them instead of sitting around at their houses watching tv. I could also donate more to charities that are local.

What is your view on proselytizing?

Jesus formed relationships with others before He had discussions with them...so it's best that we do that too. Form a relationship with people and those conversations will come up. I've had Atheists ask me questions because we were friends and they could trust me not to push my beliefs onto...
