    To me that shows that you don't have confidence that your denomination is feeding people. It's God's Word that feeds people, plants the seeds, baptism that waters, etc... I have every confidence that someone coming into a LCMS or WELS church will receive what God wants that person to receive.

    I don't think that the next civil war will be based on race but there are whispers of one coming. It's sad but it would be strange to see some states secede from the union...and maybe it would be a good thing for that to happen?

    What are your wishes and does your family know? If you're in a hospital, you'll be asked if you wish to have a pastor come speak with you.

    To Catholics it is important to receive the last rites. For Lutherans it's a comfort to hear God's Word at the end and receive His body and blood if the pastor brings it.
