    Exactly! I don't know of any Christians who celebrate "Easter" to worship a false god.

    Sin has to be forgiven before we can have eternal life with God...which is why perfection is demanded by God's Law. You already quoted Jesus saying to be perfect. Jesus knew that only He could be perfect so the Law accuses us of our fallen nature.

    Christians have chosen to celebrate Easter as Resurrection Sunday. There is no shame in that. You're forgetting about intent of the person...a chocolate egg does not mean the person is worshiping a false god by wanting to eat it.     Jesus died on the cross for your sins before you were born. Your sins are forgiven because of His death on the cross. When you sin, the Holy Spirit convicts you of that sin and you turn to God in repentance and are forgiven. It's not a new forgiveness, but from the cross...before you were born...
