    Asking God to take vengeance does not seem very Christ-like. You can pray to God for justice and let His will be done but not according to your will. You admit to having a vengeful spirit and you aren't repentant. You might want to pray on that.

    I prefer to pray for healing as I said. Parents need some comfort from God and only He can provide that type of comfort at this point. When my daughter was in high school, something bad happened to her and I forgave the lady who damaged my child. It can take years to heal but to pray for...

    Our feelings are tainted by sin, so it's best to trust in God's Word as opposed to our feelings. Jesus said This IS my body. This IS my blood. That's how we know He's there.

    Yep. I read the other day about a former congressman pleading guilty to ballot stuffing (not in the last election though?). So we know it happens even though the media says it doesn't.

    What do I pray? I pray that God comforts the families and allows them to heal. We're Christians. We have God who is our great Comforter.

    We did a 3 mile hike yesterday and tried to keep mostly to the shady areas because it was getting hot fast. It's going to rain this morning and I don't like walking in storms so we might just try to go see the cows early this morning.

    That is such a trivial thing though! I'd be looking more into what Lutherans and Catholics believe about salvation and then compare to what the bible teaches. That is more important.

    A lot of people had responsibilities that didn't happen and on that we can all agree. But the person who was ultimately responsible was the shooter who wanted children dead. I didn't expect my prayer thread to turn into a debate :( Let's continue to pray for those families affected.

    Lutherans believe that the Lord is present for a purpose...for us to receive His body and blood. Once that purpose has been achieved, He's no longer present in the elements.

    From a lot of your posts it seems to me you want to have some great experience to convince you of something. Stay true to the Savior is my advice and keep your eye on the cross.
