    We love our generator!! So I agree and will never have another house without it. I also need a basement to take refuge in when there are tornado warnings.

    We have a tiny cement area with a step leading up to it. We have a back deck that is HUGE though and we have our grill on it, a mat and 4 rocking chairs.

    Every two years we power wash most of the house. The parts that get a lot of sun don't need it, but there's one entire wall that will turn green if we don't keep up with it. It's so weird because back in the Chicagoland area, we never had to deal with this.
