There really are Protestants who say "The Bible is God"

I'm in the discussion a bit there (under another name) and that appears to be so. The title appears to be an "attention grab", but not seriously reflecting the OP's pov. It seems hard for him to articulate, though

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

    Contemplating a social media hiatus

There really are Protestants who say "The Bible is God"

This is the argument being used in the link to the other forum. And it should be rejected. The Word of God and the word of God need to be recognized as separate and distinct. Christ - the Word - was God made flesh. His word is truth, and those truths are contained in the word of God - the bible...

    Happy Birthday Krissy Cakes

Happy Birthday Krissy! I hope you're having a great day :)

Could it all be a fraud?

It is possible, and has been weighed out by theologians and internet armchair theologians ad-nauseam (at times). John's Epistles come to mind as far as some of the disputed authorship as well as Hebrews. John's gospel has also been the source of some speculation, and has been posited that...

If you could say one thing to your pastor...

Thank you for graciously taking me in and accepting me. You hardly knew me - both my former and current Pastor

    So, what are YOU reading?

My dad gave me a copy of a novel called "The last Jihad". I don't recall the author, but apparently he's Christian - so it's 'clean' reading. I may start on that soon. I had it to read on my way back from seeing them, but I didn't think it'd be too wise to open up that one on a plane :)

Air out your pet peeves here :)

Folks, please educate yourselves on how to drive through a roundabout for the good of all humanity. Thank you.

    So, what are YOU reading?

Just started "The Pilgrims' Progress". One of the 'classics' I've never read. Enjoyable so far. Reading the original version, not a modern translation.

Okay, I admit it. I've started playing angry birds

What are you listening to? - Part 2

"Surely you can find your way back home, surely you can turn to God alone You are never too far gone. His mercy’s new each day. You can still sing freedom’s song. You’re not so far gone, never too far gone To ever turn again"

    Hotel Pet Peeves

Pet Peeve - if it's after 9:00 pm please round up your children from the hallway. Preferably, don't give them their own room if they're not mature enough.

    Hotel Pet Peeves

Yeah, that's what's so strange about it. And even knowing that housekeeping was on my floor - on my end of the floor - when I left the room. Strange. I rarely tip housekeeping, though (am I bad?), but one place I stayed was so great about everything, and they worked so hard - but I had nothing...

    "What if Christianity is Wrong?"

I like simple questions, and that's how I see this one. If Christianity is wrong, then at death we merely cease to "exist". Our "awareness" ends and (I assume) we would enter a state opposite to that - no awareness because all bio-chemical processes within our bodies necessary to sustain life...

So... hotels got ya down a bit Lämm?

    Hotel Pet Peeves

If I'm gone from the room from morning until 5:00, why is that not adequate time for housekeeping to do their job? Do you really need to leave my room until 5:15 when I want to relax a bit, and then knock on the door??

    Chat Do You Remember?

Appliances never seemed to break down. I think my parents still have the refrigerator they had from before I was born. It's in their basement, but working just fine. My mom was convinced she'd never use a microwave, but my dad bought one anyway. She was surprised how much she used it. When we...

Can babies be conscious of their baptism?

If this were so, the context would have said that. It says this: "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation...
