    Justification

Found this interesting regarding Romans 8:30 - So there is a certainty (Justification?) and a continued work that appears to be contained in the meaning. Some may well call this continued work "Sanctification" (I am one...)

    Justification

It just seemed confusing as I'd never heard it phrased quite that way. Your clarifications below help. I would say "no" No, they would not be. It is by the righteousness of Christ that we are saved Yes, they are (with a caveat, see below) No, they are not. Yes, I do. And thank you for...

    Justification

It's a backward question. Imputed righteousness is one of those ideas in Reformed theology along the lines of substitutionary penal atonement. Not everyone is going to have a quick answer whether either fits their theology. And to ask if imputed righteousness=salvation... huh? If one does not...

    Justification

My "take" - the righteousness of Christ is received by (or "imputed to", if you will) the believer by faith (what you might call "salvation", so that it addresses your question..). It is not an earned righteousness, but the free gift of God. So, we are MADE RIGHTEOUS by Christ in us...

    Google - disappearing messages

Well, since Google tracks about everything that's done on one of its platforms (and even things that aren't) I wouldn't trust that any of it would be safe. Most likely, they'd be tracking who uses what features to make things "bigger and better" in the future, and still try to sell us the line...

I wouldn't say this is true at all. Maybe re-read the OP. It differs from traditional Protestant understanding, but states the POV nonetheless and should have some bearing on the conversation here. from the OP: See here also...

    Justification

Consideration of worldview would go a long way in this thread, I think. obviously, the pov's expressed here are not going to be similar to our own, and to argue ad nauseam will only prevent us from learning and growing in our fellowship with others. It might be worth noting that my Lutheran...
