As I said before, we have no LXX complete or near complete manuscripts before the 4th century A.D. And the ones we do have are Christian. There are only a few fragments that predate the 4th century A.D. Moreover the manuscripts and codices of the Septuagint are not uniformed. No two are...

It has nothing to do with curiosity. That is simply the fact of the matter. Modern Hebrew uses the same word for dog.

I know of no one who has added up all the difference so I doubt there is any objective evidence one way or the other. The point is that the N.T. did not follow the LXX. Matthew rejected that reading (and that is not the only one). Moreover the LXX clearly misses (or changes deliberately?) the...

And what do you do when the N.T. clearly follows the Hebrew and not the LXX as it does in this example (and there are others)? out of Egypt I called my son - (N.T.) out of Egypt I called my son - (Hebrew/proto-masoretic) out of Egypt I called his children - (LXX) See O.T. quotes in the N.T...

I understand your point but I don't agree. First, yes there are differences. No scholar denies that. However, even the manuscripts and codices of the Septuagint are not uniformed. No two are exactly alike. They all differ in some way. Second, we have some Hebrew manuscripts of Biblical...

He says by the age of 20 it is too late to learn Hebrew. Complete nonsense! It is never too late to learn Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek. It was the fall of 1983 when I was 24 years that I stated college and I began learning Hebrew and Greek.

    Origen Here!

It means forcing one's theology upon the text is the wrong way to approach the text. That method is nothing more than confirmation bias. We should allow the text to inform us. The context of the Bible is found in the ancient Near East\Mediterranean world. In other words, we should strive to...

The translators, who are Jews, do and gave the translation "Palestine." I have no reason to doubt those translators, their skills, or their translation of the text. And given the fact you don't know Hebrew\Aramaic there is no reason to believe that you know more than they. Thank you for your time.

Again these are from the Talmud. I found them using the link you provide. When Rab, the son of R. Chiya's brother and sister came to Palestine, Rab was asked by R. Chiya: "Is father alive?" "Is mother alive?" was his reply. Then R. Chiya asked him: "Is mother alive?" Rab answered again: "Is...

Please cite scholarly sources and the evidence? Using the source (i.e. link) you provided it was not hard to find some examples. When Rab, the son of R. Chiya's brother and sister came to Palestine, Rab was asked by R. Chiya: "Is father alive?" "Is mother alive?" was his reply. Then R. Chiya...
