Many people voice the desire to live as long as possible and yet think that living forever with no way to die would be horrible, a cursed existence that goes on and on without relenting. What do you really want? To live as long as possible or to live forever?

Live forever, always wanted that, even as a kid. I was always obsessed with death. Later heard my twin brother died. As a 10 year old I wrote a story in school about a cat who found an old bottle in the ground oh yes from a still living cat under the ground in that castle who drunk it. Found it back a few years ago. Funny. I think it was one of the main reasons I started looking for God.

Perhaps it is the quality of life that frightens some people. They may be thinking of living forever in a world almost exactly the same as the one in which they live now. Crime and sickness certainly can make the quality of life in this world uncomfortable.

We're Christians. We WILL live with God forever :)

But in these bodies now and in this world, no I do not want to live forever. I'm not even sure I want to live as long as possible. I do want to live to see my daughter get older and possibly have kids of her own (she's saying she doesn't want any boo) and it would be wonderful to be around them.

In His Presence, living forever. Without His Presence, not living but mere existence. IN His Presence, we will forever be young and healthy, ever learning, praising His Name, being in His Presence in His Court every Sabbath rejoicing the eternal life He has given us. Exploring His Universe, expanding my mind to all that He has in store for us to enjoy, enrich our lives, and delight in. I see eternity with Him to be awesome beyond compare. I want to ride His winged horse, I want to eat the fruits of the Garden of Eden that are no longer available to us, I want to sit at His feet and learn from Him. I want to throw a watermelon party where everyone sits inside and enjoys eating the walls. I want to talk to the animals. I want to hear the angels sing. I love Him. He has made my life in ways I can not compare, describe, or ever want to give up.

I can understand where those, who do not have a personal relationship with Him, see no joy in the idea of living forever. If half of what I imagine is but a foretaste of what He has in store for me in the eternity with Him, I am more than ready and willing.

We're in the top 5 happiest countries in the world.

I love windmill ground Holland breads. I love the fields of tulips in spring. Yes, Holland is beautiful.

I agree; Keukenhof is reckoned to be the most impressive tulip area.
