Welcome to Christianity Haven, thank you for visiting! If you have not already, we invite you to create an account and join in on the many discussions we have!
Obey what? So you feel you contribute to your salvation instead of relying solely on Jesus?
The moment we willfully do that which we know to be sinafter we have been forgiven we display by our action that we have no faith in Gods word which says we are set free. Our obedience is to remain in faith and not reject the forgiveness that gives us eternal life (by faith). If we look to how much we obey then we fail. If we look to how much Jesus obeyed then we know we are saved.
nor are we abiding in love for those who love me obey meThe moment we willfully do that which we know to be sinafter we have been forgiven we display by our action that we have no faith in Gods word which says we are set free.
so the moment we choose again to sin..we are NOT remaining in faith.

Faith comes and goes so easily then?
When was forgiveness separated from obedience. Evidence of accepting the forgiveness is shown in the obedience.

Belief yes, faith also needs action or it isnt faith.
agreed but without works our faith is deadFaith grasps onto forgiveness. There are fruits of faith but that is God working within us. Our fruits aren't saving us. Our works aren't saving us.
agreed but without works our faith is dead
Works are only a result but we don't go out looking for works to do to PROVE our faith. Birds fly, fish swim and Christians produce fruit. We can't help it.
that is true ..
and since it is true .. why do people keep insisting (sured they don't admit it outright, they use the term every one and all... to detract from self ..) but since it is true, why do they then go and do the sin again ?
who makes them ?
God .. nope ,
the devil .. ? how? jesus set us free from the power of both sin and the devil ..
so if they have faith that what god has said is true ..why do they then act in a manner which contradicts their declaration ?
because they don't truly believe they are free they don't yet have faith in him .. thier behaviour displays it .
Why do people sin you ask? It's because we live in sinful bodies. This has been already been stated.
