I've been keeping regular runs and walks in, mostly gentle runs just to log the miles. I've been doing a lot of electrical work in confined spaces which is quite demanding on my leg muscles so sometimes my legs complain if I try and do that as well as running.

Today my arms ache as well. I don't need to go to the gym, playing with my young granddaughters is enough. They like me to pick them up and carry them but they're not getting any lighter. They really like it when I pick them both up at the same time, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to do that.

Holding kids definitely strengthens your arms and your back!! Great training, until like you said, they get heavier and you can't do it or you actually hurt yourself. Know when to stop.

For me right now it's hard to know whether my muscles are aching because I'm getting older, because I was swinging my grandchildren around, because I've been running, or because I've been working in confined spaces pulling cables and connecting stuff over my head.

I've told my daughter she needs to stop feeding the children because they keep getting bigger.

Today's going to be a more gentle day. I'm going to walk rather than run. I kinda want to take the day off the electrics but we want to get our daughter moved in this week, and I need everything reconnected before she can move in.

Speaking of holding young kids, I got to hold a 1 year old at the church yesterday and couldn't believe how heavy he was!! I don't think I could do that for more than 5 minutes.

At church yesterday my youngest two granddaughters usually sit either side of me (one between my wife and I, one between my daughter and I). For the singing they stand on the pews so they can see the words on the screen. The youngest, who is six, often wants me to pick her up and hold her. My arms were already aching from playing with them on Friday and working over my head on electrics on Saturday but thankfully it was easy enough to form a cradle with both arms which made it much easier to hold her.

My watch keeps suggesting sprint repeats. Right now with crawling around confined spaces my legs ache enough as it is, I don't need to be sprinting. So today will probably be a gentle run or maybe just a walk.
