I was pointing out that only several muslims killed THOUSANDS of US citizens during 9/11. That was the point I was trying to make. It only takes a few to do severe harm. I know there are many good Muslims. They are not the problem at hand. I didn't say to ban Muslims. I am only asking others what they think of banning them. Geez, trying to get my point accross is hard work.
Sure, several Muslims did kill thousands of people. You asked what people think of banning Muslims, and I'm just making the point that if we ban Muslims in general for the acts of a few extremists who call themselves Muslims then logically we must also ban Christians for the acts of a few extremists who call themselves Christians and blow up abortion clinics, or ban men for the acts of a few men who force themselves upon women, and so on.
It only takes a few people to do untold damage, Muslim or not. The problem we have in the west is that we endlessly try to figure out which groups of people are likely to be dangerous, while at the same time trying not to discriminate against any particular groups. We could learn a lot from Israel and the way they do things.
Fundamentally we're better off looking at each person as an individual rather than taking simplistic knee-jerk reactions like "Muslim, therefore bad, ban them". Which is why I think, on this issue at least, Donald Trump is a fool (I may have mentioned that already )
