Trying to get warm. I've had a chill for a few days now.

Been fighting something similar myself, nasty cough and tiredness, along with feeling like I'm cold on the inside. My wife had it too, but we're mostly over it now. It just took us down for more than a week, which really wasn't fun.

I was tired after I got back from my long trip but I've caught up on my rest now. It's just the cold feeling that is making me miserable. I can't even go to the basement to do the things that need to get done because it's too cold down there. This morning I'm a little warmer so I'll start on laundry asap.

I don't have a cough or any other symptoms of illness so I'm wondering if I'm low on Vitamin D again. I take it in pill form but maybe it's not enough right now since I haven't been outside much either?

Feeling cold isn't fun. When I feel like I'm cold on the inside it's usually a good sign I'm sickening for something. There's not much that ever needs to be done in our basement - it got a lot cooler in there when I started insulating the house because the furnace wasn't running anywhere near as much, and then it got warmer again when I found a bunch of drafts in the basement and sealed them up.

The weather was really nice here today so went on a two hour hike. I did part of it on the greenway which is paved and part of it was on a trail near a lake.

What type of music do you use for music therapy? I sometimes like to listen to classical music.

Lovely weather here too but still feeling a bit chesty after this nasty cough, so went for a short walk around town rather than a long walk in the woods. Hopefully I'll be back in the woods before long.

Glorious morning so went out for a walk. Took a slightly extended version of my longer loop around town. At I was getting to the end it wasn't quite as long as I'd expected so I added a small detour, and ended up at 10.1 miles. It felt good to be out and about.

This afternoon I did a little electrical enabling work. My dining room has four sockets on three different circuits. One of them is on its own circuit and really doesn't need to be (and for good measure it's wired with old ungrounded cable), and another is connected to a circuit in the basement, which makes no sense at all. So my plan is to connect them all to the same circuit and make sure everything is properly grounded. Then I can get rid of some more nasty old cable. So far I've got as far as putting in a junction box so the socket currently connected to the basement can be easily transferred to the new circuit. I ran out of time so couldn't do the rest of it - if I start and can't finish we have no internet until I do finish, so the rest of it can wait.

Then I cleared some space over the other side of the house. A friend with a trailer is taking me to get some drywall tomorrow morning and I need a space to put it. I've got guys coming on Thursday to fit the drywall, so they can carry it up the stairs. My friend with the trailer is in his 70s so I'm not going to ask him to help carry 1000lb of drywall up the stairs and through a narrow corridor.

Turns out my friend with the trailer hurt his knee pretty badly so wasn't able to help me move drywall at all. I can carry the weight of a sheet easily enough but the size of it makes it unwieldy. So I ended up ordering drywall for delivery. Delivery drivers won't carry it indoors sheet by sheet, even into a ground level room, so I'll have to move the car out of the garage so they can deliver it into there. The drywall is coming tomorrow and the guys are coming to hang it on Thursday so it's not like I'll have to leave the car out for very long.

Looking at drywall screws I found that with a large box I could get five times as many screws as a small box, for little over twice the price. Two small boxes will be enough for this job but the screws will keep. Sooner or later I need to drywall most of the house, so I figured I might as well have the box that was really heavy and keep them in the basement for the next stage of the job. If the guys doing the drywall for me this week do a good job I'll have them back to help with the rest of it.

I accomplished a lot around the house yesterday as well as getting my walking in so last night I went to bed extra early and woke up this morning extra early. Now I've finished my breakfast and am doing laundry and soon will be getting groceries.

I have three visits today with clients and have already had one. Then I have some paperwork to do to authorize some clients for our service.

Trying to work through a logistical headache. My drywall man called to say he can't come tomorrow because he and the guys have caught the bug that's been going around. So now I have to figure out what to do with the drywall because I don't really want it taking out my garage for a week, but can't carry drywall sheets unaided.

Maybe I'll trade some muscle for some beer. I know a few people who can probably help me move it indoors, when it's not raining. In the meantime I'll just have to deal with it. Failing that I'll just park on the driveway for a few days. It's a hassle but it's not the end of the world.
