Nope. Baptists were there on Pentacost.
That's just delusional! :)

John the Baptist was not a Protestant, he was a Jew. But if you want to say Baptists are Jews well okay but then you'd be saying that Baptists deny Christ since Jews do that.

They were there at the Jordan river.
Rome simply attempts to usurp.

:smirk:

You say such amusing things.

In the far right corner we have one contender and in the far left corner we have another contender, both trying to pose as the Christian center or norm. :lick:

And in the middle we have an Anglican pretending to "the middle way" again.

:Nooo:

Millions of people didn't have books before the printing press and there are still millions who can't read. You should rethink your theology.

I can hardly believe you said that. They heard it verbally then. How do you think?

I command you not to teach false doctrines anymore, as saint Paul says. So stop it and repent, return to the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.

Well, let's debate and see which one of us needs to stop preaching false doctrines.

He was a Baptist, as we're all the Apostles. Rome simply usurped the church in a political power grab by pagans.

Please stop. The claim is so ridiculous as not to deserve the space it takes up.

You preach that people who get baptized are already saved. That is against the preaching of John the baptizer and the apostles.

Maybe you should take the time to read your posts more than once to see if they state what you mean? You didn't say anything about verbal and we don't know you to know what's in your head.

The elect are baptized (immersed) in Christ by the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is symbolic of what God has already done.
It has never been the dunking into or sprinkling with water that saves. Those who teach such a thing are just teaching magic rather than God's grace.

You still aren't making any sense. The one verbally teaching is teaching the written words of God.

You are wrong, for water baptism was BEFORE people were given the Holy Spirit.

That baptism didn't symbolize the Spirit's immersion of the believer into Christ. That baptism was for repentance into the physical Kingdom Israel on earth. It's not related to the church, the body of Christ.

You are the one who said your beliefs are from the time of baptism in the Jordan. Looks like you were wrong. In addition, water baptism was NOT about repentance into the physical Kingdom; that is nonsense. The kingdom is a spiritual one. You insult the gospel of truth.

I said Baptists have been around since then. This is a fact. Baptists have been around since the time Christ walked the earth. Rome came later.

You don't even know what went on during the time of the water baptisms in the New Testament times.

One of the silliest things you've ever posted.....

Baptists disagree with you, obviously http://www.baptisthistory.org/baptistorigins/baptistbeginnings.html Baptists argue that this extremely broad movement (can anyone find 2 Baptists that agree?) has its roots in the Anabaptist movement in Germany in the 16th Century, which evolved in England (and then the USA) into what Americans may generally think of as "Baptist."

Back to the topic at hand...

See 1 Thessalonians 1:3, We continually remember before our God and Father YOUR WORK PRODUCED FAITH, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Did you read that?

Do you really want to keep going against God and say He regenerated you first with the Holy Spirit TO HAVE FAITH?

Or are you going to believe the truth and believe the truth that God regenerates us with the Holy Spirit because we have faith?
