First, you cannot derive an accurate understanding of the nature of God by one verse only. The testimony of the WHOLE Bible refutes your theory. That aside, Christ was not only completely God but he was also fully a human. Both at the same time.

Occasionally in scripture we see the one side showing itself particularly strongly, but at other times it goes the other way. For every example that informs us in the way that this one you referred to does, there are others that go strongly the other way, but verses which are not simply reports on something Jesus did or said leave no doubt about the Trinity.

As tempting as it is to invent religions to suit one's own perception of fairness and truth it is not an option open to Christians. Christ revealed God to humanity. His revelation is the truth. Some dislike what he said and did. But it can't be changed to suit the times or to suit individuals. So denying what Jesus revealed does appear to exclude one from participation in His body and thus receiving salvation in His name.

So we agree. Jesus Christ presented his Father in Heaven several times in scripture as a separate entity.

It’s no wonder there are so many different flavors of Christianity when you have goofy people making up blatant blasphemy to try to explain away the errors made by their sick leadership.

I’m sorry but there isn’t a single scripture that implies God is Jesus, and there are a half dozen or so that imply they aren’t the same. This “debate” boggles my mind!
