Earlier I had chickpeas and brown rice (soaked/cooked) with lettuce, garlic, onion and a little oil and salt.

Now I'm having butternut squash with chickpeas and broccoli with creamy sauce made of crushed garlic, sprouted barley flour, salt, pepper, onion powder, lemon juice/peel, sriracha and oil.

I have not had butternut squash (butternut pumpkin in Aus) in many many years. It was a nice change

Fries and ketchup

Fries are not really fried, but lightly cooked and stirred in a minimal amount of oil with spices.

Ketchup is a mixture of unsweetened tomato sauce, medjool dates, mustard powder and soaked flax seeds - blended

Flat barley bread from sprouted barley, with lettuce, onion, garlic, tomato, oil, salt sriracha sauce.

I feel like such a Gladiator...

...minus the oil and sriracha

...and the workouts I'm not doing

:smirk:

Not researched this properly, but if true it's pretty amazing:

Same as post #402

Except I steamed the potatoes this time instead of cooking in oil, added just a little oil after with onion powder and salt.

Homemade ketchup made with flax seeds was left over from yesterday.

I usually microwave my potatoes. It is like steaming them except no added water is needed, the water in the potatoes does the steaming.

I've not trusted that device in a long time and while it's convenient I don't see the need for it. I have one that I used to use more regularly...like more than a decade ago when I ate things like microwave meals and hot dogs and other commercial stuff. I think in all the time since I have used my microwave maybe 5-6 times, and just to heat water. I really should sell it or get rid of it.

Sprouted Brown Rice (cooked) with Tofu, iceberg lettuce, tomato, avocado

The sauce I combined with it was caramelized onion, garlic, a sprinkling of ginger and black pepper, soy sauce, and a dab of toasted sesame seed oil.

So yum.

The planned project for dinner tonight is Satay Chicken with vegetables and basmati rice. I like vegetables. They make other foods especially yummy.

liver and onions

The only form of liver I can eat with any degree of pleasure is pate. Liver & onions is not pate so it doesn't get a look in from me. I hope you like it because for me it would be horrible :scared:

Earlier I had sprouted brown rice with white basmati rice (both cooked) with grilled tofu that I had marinaded overnight, and mixed with the Peri Peri sauce I made yesterday. Together with these was avocado, broccoli, tomato, lettuce salt. Quite tasty.

I think I am going to dump my white basmati rice. It's been a staple and back up security food and I really like the taste but would rather have the nutrients in brown rice. Although brown basmati is available at the supermarket, contrary to what I said in an earlier post, it doesn't sprout. I thought it did but on the second day it was apparent that it wasn't sprouting. Since that time I have learned that Australia imports certain seed type products that are heat treated to prevent germination. I suspect this is to protect the Aussie markets in some way. This is too bad - because the brown basmati was really tasty, but I'm not going to purchase it if it doesn't sprout.

I am cooking other animal flesh; chicken breast meat diced into nice sized pieces and diced tomatoes with Satay sauce. I also added some corn and peas and carrots all diced into small pieces and some nice red chillies. When it is cooked I'll cook some basmati rice and that will be dinner, God willing.
