Back from church. Church was great. Lol noone wants to come to our church or School of ministry, then we just come to you. He put it on camera and is gonna put it on youtube or facebook. Vlogging pastor lol.
Kids dont ask me during the preaching if you can go pee, I'm vlogging.
Kids didnt understand his preaching so I just asked his preach paper and later told em in simple language. He preaches 1,5 hour. I'm ready w the same preaching in 10 mins.
Now I'm showing a jw on a Dutch forum that Jesus is God from his own translation.

Couldn't attend Service or Sunday School, so I read Luther's Large Catechism in Concordia: The Book of Lutheran Confessions, instead. I also prayed for my congregation this morning.

I have no such skills. Dreams need not make any sense :p

Maybe it was a hint for you to learn to yodel? It's fun :)

Home from church and am eating lunch. I need a day of rest from my short walks so I'm just hanging out around the house for the rest of the day.

Just got back from church, ready to eat some lunch and then hopefully pull another bag or two of cellulose out of my crawl space. Failing that maybe I'll just dig around the basement - I can probably find a garbage bag's worth of stuff to get rid of. Soon I need to get busy burning the latest pile of laths that has accumulated over the last few weeks.

I'm really hoping the cold stays away for a while, because I'm waiting for my preferred insulation panels to hit the market. Current estimate is late November but if they are much after that I may end up needing to choose something else so I'm not fighting the cold with bare concrete walls.

I think tomorrow it's going to be time to pull some cables and replace the light fitting in the room that now doesn't have much cellulose over the ceiling. Then I can replace the cellulose with fiberglass and save it from getting too cold in there at night.

Running a bath.

I like to have a bath on Mondays (and other says too). It is more enjoyable than a mere shower.

Enjoying time 'away' at Starbucks. Sometimes a 'Caramel Mocha' and some good tunes just help everything fall into place :)

Tango, do you have an ETA of when you'll be finished?

Hopefully before I die.

Seriously, it's hard to say. Some days I work hard on it, other days I do other things. Sometimes I hit long term roadblocks (been waiting several weeks for an electrician to fit a new breaker panel, for example). As soon as I make a final decision on the insulation panels to use (needless to say the ones I really want aren't available yet) I'm very close to being ready to start rebuilding. Once I've got some rooms done I can move into them and free up other rooms to gut and renovate. I suspect the first room to be finished is going to be the new study. That still needs the wall to be restudded but just about everything is already stripped out of there, and I'm very close to ready to get the light fixtures in there replaced. Once it's done I'll replace the light with a ceiling fan, so everything is gearing up to accepting a fan when it's all ready.

Once the new study is done the old study can be moved into the new study, then the next room is the workshop for my wife and her hobbies (which is also near to being ready to rebuild), then I can gut the old study and rebuild it. It's going to be a guest bedroom, so once it's done the guest beds can be moved into it while I gut the guest bedroom, and so on.

I think once the rebuild starts it's going to move reasonably fast, and also chew through cash very fast as I need to buy the insulation panels, the drywall, a tool to lift the drywall (don't feel like lifting a 4x8 sheet of the stuff to ceiling height to screw it into place by hand), and all the assorted periphery. Still, it's cheaper than paying someone else to do it, and I'll learn a lot along the way.

Yes, it's a LOT cheaper to do the work yourself!! That's why I try to learn as much as I can about home improvements!!

I have an appointment this morning so I got up early.

Me and my son have a meeting today with a clinician to talk about our diabetes. WE meet with this person about every 2 or 3 months to discuss how to manage our diabetes. He has type 1 and I have type 2. Mine has been doing good lately.

I walked my laps a bit ago and it was slow going. I really want to get built up enough to hike in the park again.

I walked the dog and had my meds refilled. I'll be taking less Virtussin because now, I'm pretty sure I am convalescing, rather than getting sicker.

This morning I cut a 19" circle out of a piece of plywood, then cut a 17.5" circular hole in the middle of it. With a bit of manhandling I got it wedged into the section of my metal trash can that was collapsing under the suction of my big shop vac. Then I rigged up the big shop vac to the trash can and confirmed it no longer collapses.

At some point I'm contemplating building a new lid for the trash can so I can mount the head unit of the shop vac directly to it, and effectively turn it into a giant shop vac. If I can lay my hands on a 55 gallon drum I'll probably do that, it will give me enough space to build a lid, mount the shop vac on the top and a separator below it, wedge the whole lot into the top of the drum, and have an all-in one solution. Then maybe I'll jig up a base for it so I can wheel it around. That would be pretty neat.

Cleaning out the pantry - one of the things I (nearly) finished today. The pinto beans I had stored are not sprouting - so they get tossed. Old brown rice that also doesn't sprout - tossed (sprouting is a good way to test your grains/legumes/seeds - if they don't - they aren't good anymore). Some flour products went. Then I noticed a ceramic container I haven't opened in years. Flour in that - flour that has been sitting in that container for over a decade. Flour that doesn't smell - flour that doesn't look like there is anything wrong with it - flour that could (and most likely does) have hidden mycotoxins in it - so flour that is getting tossed tomorrow.
